Como sabem estou por Paris, mas, visto que hoje é o último dia do mês, estava mais que na hora de vos trazer a minha playlist do mês de Maio. E este mês é mesmo uma mistura entre novos lançamentos e músicas mais antigas. Os Black Keys, uma das minhas bandas favoritas, anunciaram o lançamento do novo álbum para o próximo mês (can't wait!!!) e tenho adorado as músicas que têm lançado até agora. Também adorei a cover que a Lana Del Rey fez da música Doin' Time e, como tudo o que a Lana faz, claro que está nesta playlist. E podem encontrar muitas mais outras músicas na playlist em baixo. Mas digam-me: o que andaram a ouvir vocês este mês?

As you know I'm in Paris, but since today is the last day of the month I had to share with you my monthly playlist. And this month really is a mix of new and old songs. The Black Keys, one of my favourite bands, announced that they are launching their new album next month ( can't wait!!!) and released a few songs that I really like. I also loved the cover Lana Del Rey did of Doin' Time and as everything Lana does, it's on this playlist obviously. O meu estilo até pode estar bem mais feminino agora, mas haverá sempre algo de tomboy em mim e este outfit é o exemplo perfeito disso mesmo. Como devem ter percebido, tenho adorado vestidos neste momento. Acho que este Verão vão ser das peças que mais vou usar e este é um dos meus favoritos. Adoro o decote, as mangas e até o comprimento é perfeito (o que é bastante raro de acontecer comigo). É um vestido bastante feminino. Mas a tomboy que ainda há em mim sentiu a necessidade de lhe dar um ar mais masculino e, por isso, usei-o com umas botas combat. E senti-me muito bem. Senti que este outfit realmente representa o meu estilo. Mas o que acham vocês? Gostam da forma como usei o vestido?

My style can be way more feminine now, but I will always be a tomboy at heart and this outfit is the perfect example. As you may have noticed, I'm really into dresses right now. I think I will spend Summer wearing little dresses and this one is one of my favourites. I love the neckline, the sleeves and even the length is perfect (which never happens to me btw). It's a very feminine dress. But the tomboy in me felt the need to somehow add a more masculine vibe so obviously, I wore it with some black combat boots. And I felt great. I really felt like this outfit truly represents my style right now. But what do you think? Do you like how I wore the dress?

São séries que adorei e a lista podia ser bem maior, mas decidi fazer o meu top 3. Mas e vocês? Qual é o vosso top 3 de séries favoritas? Adorava saber!

Since you really liked the post where I shared with you the tv series I've watched recently, I decided to share with you my favourite tv series of all time. These are series that I really love and the list could be way longer, but I decided to do my top three. But what about you? What's your top 3 of favourite tv series? I would love to know!

1. Sons Of Anarchy

Já vi esta série há alguns anos atrás, mas foi mesmo das minhas favoritas e, por isso mesmo, é que está em número um. Até já pensei rever esta série de tanto que gostei. Mas, resumindo, Sons Of Anarchy conta a história de um grupo motard, focando-se na história de Jax Teller, o protagonista. A série tem sete temporadas e podem encontrá-la no Netflix.

I've watched this show a couple of years ago, but it really is one of my favourites and that's why Sons Of Anarchy is on the top of the list. And I liked it so much that I have actually considered to watch it again. But summing up, Sons Of Anarchy follows the lives of an outlaw motorcycle club focusing on the story of Jax Teller, the main character. It has seven seasons and you can find it on Netflix.

2. Peaky Blinders

Esta série ainda não acabou, a quinta temporada deverá sair este ano, mas Peaky Blinders cativou-me logo desde o primeiro episódio. Mais uma vez, trata-se de um grupo ligado ao mundo do crime e segue a vida do seu líder, Tommy Shelby.

This show is not over yet, the fifth season will be out at some point this year, but Peaky Blinders caught my attention since episode number one. Once again, it tells the story of an outlaw gang and centres on the life of its boss, Tommy Shelby.

3. Friends

Bem diferente das séries anteriores, mas tinha de incluir Friends nesta lista. Vi no ano passado pela primeira vez e é mesmo daquelas séries que é impossível não rir. Acho que não preciso de dizer muito mais, porque Friends é daquelas séries que toda a gente conhece, mas se nunca viram, aconselho mesmo a fazê-lo e podem aproveitar que está agora a passar na Fox Comedy.

Quite different from the previous ones, but I had to include Friends on this list. I've watched it last year for the first time and it's one of those shows that you laugh from the begging to the end. I don't think I need to say much more about Friends, everyone knows about it, but if you've never watched it before, I really recommend it.

O Early pode facilmente passar despercebido na correria do dia-a-dia, mas assim que conhecerem este café vos garanto que a vontade de sair é quase nula. O espaço é mesmo agradável e convida a umas boas horas passadas por lá a trabalhar ou à conversa com amigos. Sente-se que é um lugar com história (costumava ser uma livraria), mas, mesmo assim, é um espaço bastante moderno com uma decoração entre o vintage e o minimalista. Fui lá no Domingo passado para o pequeno-almoço e, como já devem ter percebido, gostei mesmo muito. Optei então pelo sumo do dia e por um iogurte natural com granola caseira e fruta e isto ficou-me por 9€. Há também opções para almoço que será, sem dúvida, o objectivo para a próxima vez que lá for. Fica aqui mais uma sugestão. Já conheciam o Early?

Early can easily go unnoticed but as soon as you enter this café I can guarantee you that you will not want to leave. It's such a cosy place and really invites you to spend a few hours there. You can feel that is a place with a lot of history (it used to be a book shop), but it's also a very modern place with a decoration that mixes vintage with minimalism. I went there on Sunday to have breakfast and as you probably already realize by now, I really liked it. I went for the juice of the day and a natural yoghurt with homemade granola and fruit and I paid 9€ for it. There's also some lunch options so that's definitely the plan for the next time I go there. So here is another suggestion. Did you already know Early?

Estou farta. Estou farta deste ambiente de ser politicamente correcto que se vive nos dias de hoje. Já não se pode dizer nada, porque se corre sempre o risco de ofender alguém. A nossa sociedade é tão sensível que já nem piadas conseguimos "aguentar". Sim, talvez diga isto porque nunca senti a discriminação na pele, mas não estará esta cultura a criar uma barreira ao discurso livre. Um dos meus comediantes favoritos, o Chris D'elia, é conhecido pelas suas piadas politicamente incorrectas e um dos seus temas recorrentes são as mulheres. Será que por ser um tema que me afecta directamente eu não deveria achar piada? Devia eu ficar ofendida com essas mesmas piadas? Talvez algumas mulheres até fiquem, mas não é de todo o meu caso. Porque são piadas com o objectivo de fazer rir. E sabem que mais? Efectivamente, fizeram-me rir. Se calhar estou a ser politicamente incorrecta ao dizer tudo isto, mas que assim seja. I'm tired. Tired of this culture of political correctness that we're living nowadays. You just can't say anything, because you may end up offending someone. We're just overly-sensitive and we put so much stress about being politically correct that we just can't take a joke anymore. Maybe I say this because I never truly felt discrimination, but isn't this culture creating a barrier to free speech? Chris D'elia, one of my favourites comedians, is known for his politically incorrect jokes and women are usually one of his targets. Should I not find funny this kind of jokes because it's a subject that directly affects me? Should I be offended by them? Maybe some women do, but I really don't. Because they're jokes, they're meant to make you laugh. And you know what? I did laugh. Maybe I'm just being politically incorrect by saying all this, but let me be. It's my blog, I do what I want to.

Já muito falei deste livro por aqui, mas, agora que cheguei ao fim, venho partilhar com vocês o que aprendi com o 'Feminists Don't Wear Pink (And Other Lies)'. A verdade é que adorei este livro e o feminismo é um tema que vão ler muitas mais vezes aqui pelo blog. O livro é um conjunto de ensaios escrito por várias mulheres sobre diversos temas. Para mim, foi o livro perfeito para aprender mais sobre o feminismo e perceber melhor este movimento. Recomendo mesmo todos vocês a lê-lo. E ora aqui estão cinco coisas que aprendi durante a leitura deste livro.

I've already talked a lot about this book, but I finally finished it so today I'm sharing what I've learned with 'Feminists Don't Wear Pink (And Other Lies)'. The truth is that I loved this book and feminism is a subject that you're going to read more often here on the blog. The book is a compilation of essays written by different women and it's the perfect first step if like me you want to learn more about feminism and truly understand this movement. I really think you should all read this book. And so here are five things I've learned while reading this book.

1. We're On The Fourth Wave Of Feminism

Esta é mais teórica, mas ajuda-nos a perceber tudo o que já foi feito para alcançar a igualdade de género. No primeiro período o grande foco foi obter o direito ao voto e a participação na vida política e social. A segunda onda caracterizou-se pela luta das mulheres pelo direito à contracepção e a legalização do aborto. Perceber a diferença entre sexo e género foi o grande mote da terceira onda. E, neste momento, encontramo-nos na quarta onda do feminismo. Claro que muitas outras coisas foram feitas, mas este é apenas um pequeno resumo (vão ter de ler o livro para saber mais).

This one is more about theory, but it really helps you to understand what has been done to accomplish gender equality. On the first period, the main focus was to get the right to vote and to participate in the politic and social life. The second wave was all about fighting for the right of contraception and the legalization of abortion. Understanding the difference between sex and gender was the motto of the third wave. And right now we're on the fourth wave of feminism. Of course, there was a lot of other things done during this time, but you have to read the book to know more about that.

2. Every Woman Has A Different Route To Their Personal Understanding Of Feminism

Quando comprei este livro, um dos meus grandes objectivos era perceber o que afinal é o feminismo. E a verdade é que, apesar de ter encontrado respostas, aquilo que percebi é que o feminismo é diferente para todos nós.

When I bought this book, one of my main goals was to understand what feminism really is. And I did find some answers, but I also realized that feminism can be different to each one of us.

"There is no 'one size fits all' in the movement. All you need to do is care and want to change the world". - Nimco Ali (from the essay 'Be A Fun Feminist')

3. We Can All Do Something About It

Antes de ler este livro, sabia que ainda muitas coisas tinham de mudar, mas não fazia ideia do que eu podia fazer para ajudar e fazer a minha parte. A verdade é que todos podemos fazer alguma coisa e, para mim, ajudou-me a perceber que tenho esta plataforma onde posso fazer imenso, por isso este tema vai começar a aparecer por aqui mais vezes.

Before reading this book I knew some things had to change, but I just didn't know what I could do to help. And the things is, we can all do something and this book just made me realize that I have this blog where I can start to spread the message so this is definitely a subject that you're going to read way more often here.

4. Feminists Do Wear Pink

As feministas usam cor-de-rosa. As feministas usam preto. As feministas usam tudo aquilo que quiserem usar. E não é por usares um vestido bodycon cor-de-rosa que faz de ti menos feminista. Longe estão os tempos em que uma feminista era uma mulher com cabelo curto, com a depilação por fazer e com um ar masculino. Uma feminista é qualquer pessoa que acredita nesta causa.

Feminists wear pink. Feminists wear black. Feminists wear anything they want to. And wearing a pink bodycon dress doesn't make you less feminist. The idea that a feminist is a girl with short hair, hairy armpits and with a very masculine look couldn't be more wrong. A feminist is anyone who believes in this movement.

Há uns anos atrás, se dessem uma vista de olhos no meu armário não encontravam um único par de sapatos altos. Sempre fui muito mais de sapatos rasos. Quer sejam sapatilhas, loafers ou mules, encontram qualquer um destes estilos no meu armário. No entanto, ultimamente, isto tem vindo a mudar. Vejo-me cada vez mais a comprar sapatos de tacão alto e vivo num limbo entre os rasos e os sapatos altos. Por um lado, os sapatos de tacão alto dão-nos uma confiança que nenhum outro par de sapatos nos consegue dar. Ficamos com outra postura e, para mim, os centímetros a mais são também uma grande mais valia. Mas por outro, não há nada como o conforto de uns sapatos rasos. E, por mais que goste de sapatos de tacão alto, no meu dia-a-dia é de sapatos rasos que me vão encontrar (e muito provavelmente com as sapatilhas que estou a usar neste outfit). A Marilyn Monroe disse "deem a uma rapariga os sapatos certos e ela conquista o mundo". Serão esses sapatos um par de Vans Old Skool ou umas sandálias Tribute Saint Laurent? Não faço ideia, mas também não me interessa, adoro os dois.

Some years ago if you went through my wardrobe you wouldn't find a single pair of high heels. I was always a flats kind of girl. Sneakers, loafers, mules, you name it. You can find in my wardrobe any of these styles. However, lately, this has been changing. I find myself buying high heels more often and I live between this battle, on one hand, we have high heels and on the other flats. High heels give us a certain confidence that no other shoe can give us. Our posture gets better and to me, the extra inches are a big plus. But there's nothing like the comfort of flats. And even though I love high heels, in my daily life you will most likely find me wearing flats (probably the sneakers I'm wearing with this outfit). Marilyn Monroe once said, "give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world". Are the right shoes a pair of Vans Old Skool or Saint Laurent's Tribute sandals? I don't know, but it doesn't matter to me, I love them both.

E aqui estão mais fotos em filme que fui buscar ontem. Não imaginam o quanto eu gosto deste processo. É tudo tão mais espontâneo e eu adoro isso. Estou também super entusiasmada, porque o próximo post das 'Disposable Series' que vos vou trazer vai ser fotografado em Paris. Vou lá na próxima semana e mal posso esperar por criar imenso conteúdo. Tenho imensas ideias, por isso agora é só organizá-las. Bem, espero que gostem destas fotos.

I'm also really excited because the next 'Disposable Series' post is going to be shot in Paris. I'm going there next week and can't wait to create loads of content. I have so many ideas in my head so now I just need to organize them. Well, I hope you like the photos.

Finalmente, os vestidos começam a aparecer nestes recaps de outfits que faço, mas ainda tenho alguns que comprei na altura dos saldos que quero muito vos mostrar, mas já fico contente com as temperaturas que temos tido nos últimos dias e brevemente mostro-vos os tais vestidos. Mas digam-me, qual o vosso outfit favorito? Sabem que às vezes também gosto de eleger o meu favorito, mas é sempre bastante difícil para mim. Como é óbvio, gosto de todos. Mas vou dizer o primeiro porque adoro aquelo vestido e o segundo porque estou a usar o meu padrão favorito.

Finally, we are starting to see some dresses on this outfit recaps that I usually do, but I still have a few more that I bought on sale that I really want to share with you. But I'm happy that the weather is starting to warm up so really soon I will share them with you. But tell me, which outfit is your favourite? Sometimes I really like to pick my favourite as well, but it's always really hard. Obviously, I like them all, but I will pick the first one because I really like that dress and the second because I'm wearing my favourite print.

Alter Ego. Uma locução substantiva cujo significado literal é "outro eu". As minhas amigas, na brincadeira (achava eu), dizem que eu tenho vários alter egos. Eu sempre achei que não, mas talvez até tenha mesmo. Eu sou uma pessoa bastante envergonhada, mas na hora de fotografar um outfit no meio da rua com imensa gente sempre a passar (o que pode ser uma situação bastante constrangedora), parece que sou outra pessoa. A vergonha fica de lado e fotografo como se nada fosse. Será que afinal tenho mesmo um alter ego? Mas, por outro lado, não temos todos nós? A forma como nos comportamos com diversas pessoas não é sempre a mesma. A forma como se comportam com um vosso tio, por exemplo, não é a mesma como se comportam com o vosso melhor amigo. E estranho seria se assim fosse, mas isso não comprova que temos vários "eus"? Os seres humanos não têm apenas uma dimensão e a nossa personalidade tem vários lados. Por isso, quer tenham um ou mais alter egos, abracem-nos. Se a Sasha Fierce funcionou tão bem com a Beyoncé, ter um alter ego não deve ser assim tão mau.

Alter ego. A second self or different version of oneself. My friends used to tell me that I have several alter egos as a joke. But maybe I really do. I can be quite a shy person, but when it comes to shooting my outfit in the middle of the street with people walking everywhere (which can be a very awkward situation), looks like I'm a different person. So is this the proof that I really have an alter ego? But don't we all have one? I mean, the way we behave around different people is not always the same. The way we behave with an uncle, for example, it's not the same as when we are with your best friends. And it would be weird if it was, but doesn't this show that we have several "me's". Human beings are not one-dimensional and we have more than one side to our personality. So either you have one or more alter egos, embrace them. If Sasha Fierce worked so well to Beyoncé, it can do no harm to you to have an alter ego.

Não imaginam a quantidade de tendências que à primeira vista odeio, mas que passado um tempo fazem parte do meu armário. É mesmo o que se costuma dizer: primeiro estranha-se e depois entranha-se. E, por isso, tive esta ideia de vos trazer alguns posts onde partilho com vocês essas mesmas tendências. E a primeira é o bucket hat.

You can't imagine the number of trends that I used to hate that are now part of my wardrobe. Sometimes you just need a bit of time to start seeing a certain trend in a different way. That's why I had this idea to do some posts where I'll be sharing those kinds of trends. And the first one is the bucket hat.

Eu até gosto de chapéus, mas o bucket hat nunca me tinha convencido. Até agora. Cada vez gosto mais e, por isso, podem esperar um outfit com este acessório brevemente. Entretanto, podem encontrar os meus favoritos em baixo.

Desde que comecei o novo "calendário" aqui no blog que tenho feito o meu melhor para vos trazer dois outfits por semana. Tenho conseguido fazê-lo, mas, como devem ter reparado, este é o primeiro outfit que estou a publicar esta semana e vou-vos explicar porquê. Eu até tinha um outfit para publicar ontem, mas não estava a gostar das fotos e nestas situações prefiro não publicar, do que estar a partilhar com vocês conteúdo com o qual não estou 100% satisfeita. Este blog já é um trabalho para mim, mas será também sempre um hobby e algo que realmente gosto de fazer e com o qual me quero sentir orgulhosa, sabendo que fiz sempre o melhor que pude. Portanto, não houve outfit post ontem, mas há hoje. O que vocês acham? Gostam? Eu já tenho este body há imenso tempo e continua a ser das minhas peças favoritas!

Since I got the new schedule on the blog that I really like and try really hard to bring you two outfit posts a week. I've been able to do it, but this week this is the first outfit I'm posting and I'm going to tell you why. I actually had an outfit to post yesterday, but I just wasn't feeling those photos and sometimes I can be very perfectionist and I rather not post something that I'm not proud of than posting just because I have to. And even though this blog already is a job to me, it will always also be a hobby and something that I truly enjoy doing. So there was no outfit post yesterday, but we have one today. What do you think? Like it? I have this bodysuit for a while now and it's still one of my favourite pieces!
