Como freelancer, é muito importante para mim ter um espaço tranquilo onde possa trabalhar durante várias horas e ser produtiva. Acho que é mesmo das coisas mais importantes e, para mim, tem de ser um espaço clean, minimalista, mas também que me inspire, é algo que pode ter um impacto enorme na minha produtividade. Por esta mesma razão, queria muito transformar um pouco esta área da secretária. A primeira coisa que fiz foi comprar uma cadeira nova, mais confortável e que, esteticamente, ficasse melhor com todo o quarto. A segunda coisa que fiz foi adicionar alguma arte à parede. As a freelancer, it's really important to me to have a space where you know you can work for hours and be productive. I actually think it's really important to have your work sanctuary and to me has to be clean, minimalist but also inspiring, it can really play a huge role in your productivity. So I really wanted to jazz up this desk area a little bit. The first thing I did was change the chair. I got one a bit more comfortable and that goes along with the whole bedroom a bit better. Algo que adoro ter por casa são posters, podem transformar um espaço completamente. Something that I really love having around the house is posters, they can totally change up a room. Não é nenhuma novidade, porque vos contei quando aconteceu, mas mudei de casa há uns tempos. É a primeira vez que estou a viver sozinha e a primeira vez que sou completamente independente, e, passados 4 meses, já posso dizer que aprendi alguma coisa. Não é imenso tempo, mas é o suficiente para saber o que gosto, o que não gosto e o que aprendi. Portanto, aqui estão 5 coisas que aprendi após me mudar pela primeira vez. Não são lições de vida, mas pequenas coisas que tenho a certeza que se vão relacionar.


This is not big news, I told you when it happened, but I moved out. This is my first time living alone, my first time being totally independent, and after 4 months I can say that I've learned a lot. It's not a long time, but it's long enough to say what I like, what I dislike, and what I've learned. So here are 5 things I've learned after moving out for the first time. Not life-changing stuff, but small things that I'm sure you can relate to, let me know!


1. Não vais passar a ferro roupa de cama. Sim, fica mais bonito se estiver tudo passado a ferro, mas não te vais dar ao trabalho de o fazer. // You won't iron bedding. Yes, it looks better if it's ironed, but you won't bother to do it.


2. Cozinhar é uma seca e a pior parte é que o tens de fazer todos os dias. // Cooking is so boring and the worst thing is that you have to do it every single day.


3. Ir às compras ao supermercado é das melhores coisas porque podes comprar aquilo que bem te apetecer. Já não tens alguém a dizer-te o que podes ou não trazer. // Grocery shopping is the best since you can buy whatever you want. You no longer have someone telling you what you can or cannot have.


4. Lembras-te quando a tua mãe insistia-a em aspirar a casa sempre que alguém fosse lá a casa? Vais-te tornar essa pessoa. Mesmo que consigas viver numa casa um pouco mais suja, não queres que outras pessoas o saibam, sejam quem elas forem. // Remember when your mom insisted to hoover before a guest came in? You will be this person. Even though you can live in a very dirty house, you don't want other people to know that, no matter who they are.


5. Máquinas de lavar loiça são a melhor invenção dos nossos tempos (taco a taco com a Uber Eats, claro). // Dishwashers are the best invention of our time (together with Uber Eats obviously).


Como vos tinha dito, os posts sobre decoração de interiores vão ser mais regulares aqui no blog, visto que mudei de casa. Aos poucos a casa já está a ficar como quero, mas hoje venho partilhar com vocês uma wishlist com algumas coisas que não me importava nada de ter. São tudo coisas mais pequenas, pois é uma casa alugada e muita coisa já tinha, mas mesmo assim há sempre algumas coisas que podemos acrescentar para tornar a casa mais nossa. Quando estiver tudo mais pronto, se quiserem, eu depois mostro-vos algumas fotografias da casa. Mas agora digam-me, têm alguma peça favorita desta wishlist?

As I said to you before, the decor-related posts are going to appear here more often since I moved house. Little by little the house is turning into a home, and today I'm sharing with you my wishlist with some things I really wouldn't mind having. These are all very small things, we rented a house so most of the things were already here, but there are always some things you can add to make it more your own. Once everything is ready, if you'd like it, I'll share some photos of the house with you. But now tell me, do you have a favourite piece from the wishlist?


Infelizmente, não tenho fotos do antes para vos mostrar, mas queria muito mostrar-vos como está o meu quarto neste momento. Ainda faltam algumas coisas, mas já está quase quase terminado. E tenho de agradecer à minha grande amiga Li que me ajudou com tudo e me deu imensas ideias. Juntas encontramos peças de que eu gosto muito e vou partilhar tudo com vocês. Unfortunately, I don't have before photos to show you, but I really wanted to show you how my bedroom is right now. There are still a few things missing, but it's almost done. And I really have to thank my friend Li that helped me with everything and gave me some amazing ideas. Together we found some amazing pieces that I really love and I'm going to share everything with you. A piece that I really love and that really fills the room is this rug. It was sold out for a while, but it's finally available again and you can find it HERE. I think it's one of my favourite things in the room.

A secretária foi das primeiras coisas que escolhi quando decidi mudar o meu quarto. É feita em bambu e acabou por inspirar um bocadinho toda a decoração do quarto. Podem vê-la AQUI. The desk was one of the first things I chose when I decided to renovate my bedroom. It's made from bamboo and ended up inspiring the whole decor of the bedroom. You can find it HERE. The lamp that I have next to the trolley with my CD player and all my albums it's also a favourite. It's not really big, but it really lights up the room. Find it HERE.


A maior parte dos móveis são do Ikea (groundbreaking, I know), mas realmente lá encontra-se quase tudo aquilo que procuramos e a preços bem convidativos. Toda a roupa da cama é de lá, excepto a capa do edredon que é da La Redoute. Podem encontrá-la AQUI. Gosto bastante dela, porque é reversível, por isso fiquei com duas capas numa.

Most of the furniture is from Ikea (groundbreaking, I know), but it really is a store where you can find everything you're looking for at a very nice price. All the bedding is from there with the exception of the duvet cover that it's from La Redoute. You can find it HERE. I really like it, because it's reversible so I got two covers in one.

Ainda não vos tinha contado por aqui, mas há uns meses atrás decidi fazer uma renovação no meu quarto. Ficou mesmo muito diferente daquilo que estava e algo que ajuda sempre a mudar a vibe de uma certa divisão da casa são os quadros e, para mim, a Desenio é sempre a escolha ideal.  GO WITH A COLOR THEME
Uma forma de saber que as diferentes molduras vão ficar bem juntas é escolher molduras, mais ou menos, no mesmo esquema de cores ou então escolher cores neutras. Neste caso, escolhi uma apenas com preto e branco e as outras duas têm o cor-de-rosa em comum.
A way to know that your posters will look good together is to choose posters almost in the same color palette or go with neautral colors. On this case I chose only one in black and white and the other two have the pink in common.

 ADD DIMENSION
Uma parede só com molduras pode ficar aborrecida, por isso, é importante dar alguma dimensão. E podes fazer isto, usando diferentes molduras (eu usei molduras pretas e douradas, que também podem comprar na Desenio btw), podes também usar prateleiras em vez de pendurares na parede e acrescentar outros elementos além das molduras.
A wall only with posters can become quite boring so it's very important to add dimension. You can do that using different frames (I used black and golden frames that you can also buy at Desenio btw), you can use shelves insted of hanging the frames on the wall and add other elements beside the frames.

 MAKE THEM PERSONAL
Quando estiveres a escolher os teus posters, escolhe aqueles com os quais realmente te identificas. Afinal de contas, não queres ter na tua parede frases ou fotos que depois talvez te canses delas. Estes três que escolhi têm tudo a ver comigo. Na Desenio têm imensas opções, é só procurar e escolher as vossa preferidas. 
When you're choosing your posters have in mind to choose the ones that really relate to you. After all, you don't want quotes or photos hanging in your wall that you may get tired of.  PLAN PLACEMENT
Se optarem por pendurar as molduras na parede é muito importante planear como querem que fique o resultado final. Balança as molduras mais pequenas com as maiores e vê também em que direcção queres que fiquem. Por exemplo, o poster das palmeiras originalmente é um poster vertical, mas achei que neste caso ficava melhor na horizontal. Por isso, faz todos os testes antes de pendurares na parede.
If you want to hang the frames on the wall it's very important to plan their placement. Ballance the smaller frames with the larger ones and also see the direction you want the frames to be. For example, the palm trees poster originally is a vertical poster, but I thought it look better on the horizontal. So just try everything before you really hang in on the wall.

O new in de hoje não é de roupa, nem acessórios, mas sim este porta-revistas que comprei para o meu quarto. Vocês gostam sempre dos posts que faço sobre decoração/interiores, por isso achei que iam gostar de ver. The new in of today is not about clothes and not even about accessories, it's this magazine holder that I bought for my bedroom. Tenho andado a fazer algumas alterações no meu quarto, por isso aqui está um moodboard que fiz para me ajudar. As alterações são bem pequenas, são principalmente nas cores, agora está muito branco e quero adicionar algum cinza e nude (estamos a falar de mim, por isso mais cor que isto é quase impossível XD). I've been changing some bits on my bedroom so here is a moodboard I did to help me with that. The changes are very small and mainly in the colors, now it's very white and I want to add a bit of grey and nude (we're talking about me, so that's how much colorful I can get XD). Good morning! As I told you before I moved house and so I took the chance to change some things on my room. It's not ready yet, but the desk is finally ready so I decided to share some bits with you.
