Recebi há umas semanas estes produtos da marca Saem e estou a gostar tanto que achei que devia partilhar com vocês também. Como sabem, apenas usos produtos cruelty-free por isso esta marca tem esse selo, bem como as fórmulas são baseadas em ingredientes naturais. 


I got these products a few weeks ago from the Saem brand, and I'm enjoying them so much that I thought I could share them with you. As you know, I only use cruelty-free products so this brand has that stamp, and the formulas are based on natural ingredients. 




The Line

Como a minha pele tem tendência a desidratar, aconselharam-me a linha Urban Eco Harakeke. Uma linha que hidrata e acalma a pele. Tirando o sérum de olhos que uso o da The Ordinary, o resto da minha skincare passou a ser basicamente esta linha. Uso de manhã e à noite e tenho sentido a minha pele muito mais nutrida. Mas a marca tem diferentes linhas, para os diferentes tipos de pele.


As my skin has a tendency to get dehydrated, I was advised to go for the Urban Eco Harakeke line. A line that hydrates and calms the skin. Besides the eye serum that I use the one by The Ordinary, my skincare right now is basically this line. I use it in the morning and night, and I've been feeling my skin way much more moister.

Basta fazerem uma pesquisa no Google para perceberem o quão importante é para a nossa pele ter uma skincare routine consistente, mas, hoje, eu quero falar do quão importante é a nossa skincare routine para o nosso bem-estar, pelo menos, para mim, é extremamente importante. Tirar uns momentos apenas para mim, quer seja fazer a minha skincare routine depois do banho ou desligar o telemóvel e ler durante umas horas, é algo extremamente importante e que influencia bastante a minha saúde mental. No outro dia, partilhei no Instagram umas das minhas self-cares routines favoritas e perguntei-vos se também é algo que gostam de fazer e que tem importância para vocês. Aqui estão algumas respostas.


You just need to do a quick research on Google to understand how important it is to have a consistent skincare routine for your skin, however, today I want to talk about how important a skincare routine can be for our well-being, at least, for me, it's very important. Taking a few moments to myself, either doing my skincare routine after a bath or switching off my phone and reading for a few hours, it's very important to me and something that hugely influences my mental health. The other day, I share on my Instagram one of my favourite self-care routines and asked you if it's also something you like to do and that you think it's important. Here are some of your answers.

É a primeira vez que trago uma marca de skincare ao 'Get To Know The Brand', mas tinha de vos dar a conhecer esta marca, pois fiquei muito entusiasmada quando a descobri. Chama-se Miaskin e é a mais recente marca de skincare portuguesa. Uma marca cruelty-free, vegan e genderless. Falei um pouco com a fundadora para conhecerem melhor esta marca e descobrirem todos os princípios que estão por detrás da mesma.

It's the first time I bring a skincare brand to the 'Get To Know The Brand' post but I really had to show you this brand because I was very excited when I found out about it. It's called Miaskin and it's the newest Portuguese skincare brand. It's cruelty-free, vegan and genderless. I talked to the founder so you can know the brand a bit better and know everything that it's behind it.



Como surgiu a ideia de criar uma marca de skincare? How did you get the idea to create a skincare brand?

Foi um conjunto de fatores, mas eu diria que o ponto de partida foi o querer colmatar uma necessidade minha, pessoal, aliada à vontade de simplificar. Cheguei a um ponto na minha vida em que quis fazer escolhas mais conscientes e saudáveis, mudar alguns hábitos e rotinas, descomplicar. Comecei pela alimentação e, de forma quase imediata, comecei a sentir-me melhor, mais leve e quis alargar isso para outro tipo de cuidados com o meu corpo - a cosmética e o cuidado com a pele. Comecei a procurar marcas e produtos com que me identificasse, que fossem à base de ingredientes naturais, biológicos. A missão e valores das marcas são importantes obviamente, mas eu gosto de me identificar também a com a comunicação e linguagem que têm, a parte estética...e foi aí que me deparei com um espaço para preencher. Não existia, feito em Portugal, marcas/produtos com que me identificasse totalmente. Então foi assim. Comecei a pensar a Miaskin, numa linha de produtos que fossem práticos, descomplicados, que facilitassem a rotina, com receitas/fórmulas à base de ingredientes vegan, orgânicos, que fosse cruelty-free e genderless.


It was a set of factors but I would say that the starting point was wanting to meet a personal need of mine combined with the desire to simplify. I reached a point in my life where I wanted to make more conscious and healthier choices, change some habits and routines, simplify. I started with food and almost right away I started feeling so much better, lighter, and I wanted to bring that into other types of body care - cosmetics and skincare. I started looking for brands and products that I identified with. That were made with natural and biological ingredients. Obviously, the mission and values of the brand are important, but I also like to identify with the brand's aesthetic...there's when I came across a huge blank. There were no brands/products in Portugal that I could identify with fully. So that was it. I started thinking of Miaskin, a line of practical and simple products to make our routine easier with a vegan and organic formula that was cruelty-free and genderless.


Há alguns anos que me preocupo em usar apenas produtos cruelty-free. Quando surgiu a ideia de criar a marca, soubeste logo que querias criar uma marca cruelty-free com ingredientes naturais? For a while now that I try to only use cruelty-free products. When you decided to create the brand, did you know right away that you wanted it to be cruelty-free with natural ingredients?

Sim, tudo parte daí, dessa busca pelos ingredientes naturais aliados a valores que não dispenso. A marca tinha de ser cruelty-free, tinha de ser vegan, tinha de ser genderless e procurar ser o mais sustentável possível.


Yes, that was the starting point, the hunt for the natural ingredients lined with my values. The brand had to be cruelty-free, vegan, genderless, and as sustainable as possible.



Porque razão estes dois produtos que estão agora disponíveis devem fazer parte da rotina de pele de todas as pessoas? Why these two products that are now available should be part of everyone's skincare routine?

Procurei juntar ingredientes que combatem aquilo que acredito serem a base dos principais problemas da pele - oleosidade, falta de hidratação...quis criar produtos que dessem para todos, que cuidassem de todas as peles. Que nos fizessem sentir bem connosco próprios. Foi mesmo importante estabelecer que seria uma marca genderless.


I looked for ingredients that fight what I believe are the problems people have with their skin - oiliness, lack of hydration...I wanted to create products that were good for everyone and for all skin types. That were able to make us feel good about ourselves. It was really important to be a genderless brand.



Estão a planear lançar outros produtos? Are you planning on launching new products?

Sim, começamos com aqueles que consideramos indispensáveis para a rotina diária - sérum e creme - mas a ideia é fechar uma primeira linha de essenciais com um produto de limpeza de pele e esfoliante.


Yes, we started with the products we feel should be part of everyone's daily routine - serum and cream - but the idea is to bring more essentials like a cleansing product and exfoliator.


Eu sei que a marca ainda é muito recente, mas onde vês a Miaskin daqui a 5 anos? I know the brand it's just a baby but where do you see Miaskin in five years?

Quero muito que a marca chegue às pessoas e simplifique a rotina. Que seja a food for skin que transmite calma e nos transporta para a natureza e que se mantenha sempre fiel aos seus princípios e valores. Daqui a 5 anos, espero que a Miaskin esteja crescida, que faça parte da vida de muitas pessoas e quem sabe dê mais um passo para evitar ainda mais o desperdício que pretendemos combater e esteja num espaço físico com um sistema de refill.


I really want the brand to reach more people and simplify their routine. I want it to be the food for skin that bring us calm and transport us into nature, always being true to our values. I hope that in 5 years Miaskin is all grown up, that makes part of a lot of lives and who knows, maybe get into the next step to avoid waste and be in a physical place with a refill system.

Os posts com produtos de beleza são raros por aqui, por isso, quando eles aparecem é porque gosto mesmo dos produtos de que vos vou falar. I've been trying quite some new products, and I thought it would be interesting to share them with you. As you know, they're all cruelty-free, something very important to me, and they have been amazing to my skin/hair.



Honey Infused Hair Mask

A Gisou já é uma marca habitual por aqui. O Honey Infused Oil é das melhores coisas para o meu cabelo, mas agora tenho usado a máscara de cabelo da marca e é mesmo maravilhosa. Raramente, o meu cabelo fica bem depois de lavado, tenho sempre de fazer algum tipo de styling, mas com esta máscara adoro ver o meu cabelo ao natural. Faz mesmo toda a diferença.

Gisou is already a regular over here. Their Honey Infused Oil is one of the best things that has ever touch my hair, but I've been using their hair mask lately and it's amazing. Usually, I never like my hair after washing it, I always have to style it, but since I started using this mask, I actually like my natural hair. It makes a huge difference.



Vitamine E Pure Active

A Vitamina E é super benéfica para a pele e, se vivem numa cidade com alguma poluição e sol, ajuda imenso a proteger a pele desse tipo de agressões. Utilizo este produto de manhã, antes do hidratante, e sinto que tem feito muito bem à minha pele.

Vitamine E is very beneficial for the skin if you live in a very polluted city and with a lot of Sun, it really helps to protect the skin from that kind of aggressions. I use this product in the morning, before moisturizer, and I feel like it has been really good for my skin.



Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Serum

Já tinha ouvido falar do ácido hialurónico bastantes vezes e dos seus benefícios e decidi experimentar adicioná-lo a minha rotina de skincare. Sinceramente, acho que já não o vou largar mais e super que o aconselho. Aplico de manhã e à noite e tem feito mesmo uma grande diferença. Este da The Ordinary é um pouco diferente, pois tem o B5 como suporte de hidratação.

I've heard about hyaluronic acid quite a lot and how great it is, so I decided to add it to my skincare routine. Honestly, I don't think I will ever stop using it, I highly recommend it. I apply it in the morning and in the evening, and my skin never looked better. This one from The Ordinary is a bit different because it has B5 to help hydrate.



Camomile Cleansing Butter

Como desmaquilhante, costumava usar um produto da Etat Pur do qual também gostava muito, mas chegou ao fim e decidi experimentar algo novo. Esta manteiga é fantástica. Limpa a pele mesmo muito bem e até maquilhagem waterproof retira na perfeição. 

I used to use a product by Etat Pur to take off my makeup and I really liked it, but I finished it and decided to try something different. This butter is amazing. It cleanses the skin very well and even waterproof makeup takes off perfectly.


 


Já por diversas vezes escrevi posts sobre a minha skincare routine, mas, como sabem, quero chegar ao ponto de apenas utilizar produtos cruelty-free e a minha rotina de pele é algo onde já consegui atingir isso mesmo. Por isso, aqui está a minha skincare routine, apenas com produtos cruelty-free e todos com imensa qualidade.


Several times before I wrote posts about my skincare routine, but, as you know, I'm on a journey to only use cruelty-free products and that's something I already achieve in my skincare. So here's my skincare routine, only with cruelty-free products which are very good.


1st step: Cleansing Milk

Durante muito tempo usei água micelar para limpar a minha pele, mas, além de não ser sustentável por ter de estar sempre a usar discos de algodão, também não é o produto ideal para a minha pele. Por isso optei por um leite de limpeza e acho que já não largo mais este produto. Retira a maquilhagem na perfeição e pode ser usado na cara e olhos.


For a while, I used micellar water to clean my skin, but besides not being sustainable since I had to always use cotton discs, it wasn't the best product for my skin. So I started using cleansing milk, and I don't think I will ever stop using it. Takes off makeup perfectly, and you can use it on the face and eyes.


2nd step: Pure Active Propolis

Antes de hidratar a pele, uso este produto que me tem ajudado imenso com as imperfeições na minha pele. As diferenças são fantásticas. Apenas preciso de usar umas gotas todos os dias e ajuda imenso a acalmar e renovar a pele.

Before moisturizing my skin, I use this product that has been helping a lot with my skin imperfections. The differences are huge. I only need a few drops every day, and it helps a lot to calm and renovate the skin.


3rd step: Hydra Intense Rose Jelly

Com este gele começo a hidratar a minha pele que é um dos meus maiores problemas, tenho a pele bastante seca. Comecei a usar agora no Verão e adoro como a fórmula é super leve e fresca. É também indicado para peles com tendência a borbulhas ou acne, por isso também tem ajudado muito.

With this gel I start moisturizing my skin, which is one of my biggest problems, I have very dry skin. I started using it this Summer and I love how light and fresh it is. It's also recommended for skins with imperfections and acne, so it's been amazing for my skin.


E, por último, uso este creme hidratante. É ideal para peles mais secas, como a minha, e realmente deixa a pele com uma textura fantástica.

Last but not least, I use this moisturizing cream. It's ideal for dry skin like mine, and it really leaves my skin feeling great.

 


O último post que fiz para a categoria de 'beauty' aqui no blog foi o meu primeiro 'skin diary'. A verdade é que a minha pele já melhorou um pouco e, brevemente, irei mostrar-vos algumas fotos. Algo que acho que tem ajudado é que tenho mantido a minha rotina de pele bastante simples e bebido bastante água. No entanto, sentia que precisava de alguns cuidados extras. Como apenas quero comprar produtos de marcas cruelty-free, por vezes torna-se difícil encontrar produtos que sejam adequados para nós, mas descobri a Etat Pur e, apesar de estar a usá-los apenas há alguns dias, são dos melhores produtos que já usei.


The last blog post I wrote for the 'beauty' category was my first skin diary. My skin is actually looking better and I will show you some photos soon. Something that has been very helpful is keeping my skincare routine really simple, and drinking a lot of water. However, I felt that I needed some extra care. Since I only use cruelty-free products, sometimes it can be a bit tricky to find the right products, but luckily I found Etat Pur, and even though I've been using them for only a couple of days, I already swear by them.



Tirando uma ocasional máscara que faço semanalmente (também super natural com óleo de côco e bicarbonato de sódio), estes três produtos são o essencial da minha rotina de pele. Tanto o leite de limpeza como o hidratante são específicos para peles desidratadas (que é o meu caso) e o própolis é para ajudar com as borbulhas que vou tendo na pele. Os produtos são exatamente aquilo que preciso, pois no website da marca podem fazer um diagnóstico que no fim vos irá indicar os melhores produtos para o vosso tipo de pele (podem fazê-lo AQUI). Além disso, os preços também são muito acessíveis. Como digo no fim do post, os produtos foram-me oferecidos pela marca, mas este não é de todo um post patrocinado. Apenas gostei tanto dos produtos e da marca que queria imenso partilhar com vocês.

Weekly I do a face mask (also very natural with coconut oil and sodium bicarbonate), but these three products are the core of my skincare routine. The cleansing milk and the moisturizer are for dehydrated skin (that is my type) and the propolis for the pimples that I have on my face. Bem, dois posts novos em dois dias seguidos. Por este facto quase que podiam dizer que estou numa fase super criativa e cheia de ideias, mas a verdade é que é completamente o oposto. Este lockdown tem sido bem mais difícil no que toca a criar conteúdo. No primeiro lockdown era Primavera, por isso tivemos imensos dias de Sol e tempo mais quente. Claro que não podíamos sair, mas é logo outro ânimo. Agora o tempo tem estado miserável. Aqui no Porto tem chovido todos os dias e tenho imensas saudades do Sol. Preciso de bom tempo e boa luz para criar. No entanto, há uns dias combati este mood e decidi maquilhar-me e tirar umas fotos um pouco diferentes do habitual. A ideia era partilhar no Instagram, mas gostei tanto delas que tive de partilhar aqui também. Tenho gostado imenso de brincar com diferentes fontes e incorporá-las nas diferentes fotos. Gostei imenso do resultado e vou tentar trazer algo deste género mais vezes, pelo menos aproveitar os dias em que estou um pouco mais inspirada para criar conteúdo um pouco diferente. Well, two posts on a row. By that, you could almost say that I'm very creative right now and ideas just flow, but it's actually the opposite. This lockdown has been way harder to stay creative and to create content. The first lockdown was during Spring which meant we had Sun and warm weather almost every single day. Obviously, we couldn't get out and enjoy it, but it affected the mood positively anyway. Now the weather has been miserable. Here in Porto has been raining every single day, and I just miss the Sun so much. I need good weather and good light to create. However, a few days ago I tried to beat that and decided to put on some makeup and take a few photos different from usual. The idea was to share them on Instagram, but I like them so much that I had to share here as well. I'm really into playing with different fonts and incorporate them into photos. I really like how they turned out, and I will try to create something like this more often, or at least I will try to take advantage of those days when I feel a bit more inspired to create content a bit different. No ano passado, um dos meus objetivos foi trocar todos os meus produtos para marcas cruelty-free e claro que este ano será a mesma coisa. Aliás, acredito que um dia todas as marcas que usamos e que estarão à venda serão apenas cruelty-free. Já partilhei algumas marcas que tenho vindo a descobrir com vocês, mas hoje vou focar-me apenas em marcas de haircare, até porque é o que tenho mais dificuldade em encontrar. Mid/night

Quando descobri a Mid/night fiquei logo com imensa curiosidade em experimentar os produtos. Primeiro, toda a estética da marca é lindíssima. E segundo, além de ser cruelty-free, os produtos também são todos vegan. Têm uma linha completa de haircare, mas para já ainda só experimentei o champô. É mais líquido que o normal, mas com a água faz uma espuma com um cheirinho fantástico. É recomendado para todo o tipo de cabelos e sinto que o meu cabelo tem ficado com bem mais volume que o normal.


When I found out about Mid/night, I was immediately curious about their products. First, the whole aesthetic of the brand is to die for. Second, besides being cruelty-free, all their products are also vegan. They have a full hair care line, but I only tried the shampoo. It's a bit more liquid than usual, but it gets very foamy in the water, and the smell is amazing. It's recommended to all hair types, and I feel like my hair it's getting more volume than usual which is always a plus.

A Gisou já não é novidade nenhuma aqui no blog, mas claro que tinha a de mencionar, pois para produtos de styling do cabelo não há melhor. Este óleo para o cabelo é dos melhores que já usei. O cabelo fica com um brilho lindo e sinto mesmo que faz a diferença. Aliás, como podem ver, a minha embalagem já está mesmo no fim e já tenho uma nova a caminho. É mesmo muito bom.


I already talked about Gisou here on the blog a million times before, but I really had to mention the brand again because they are the best when it comes to hair styling products. This hair oil is the best I have ever used. The hair gets very shiny, and I feel like it really makes a huge difference in my hair. Actually, as you can see, my bottle is already empty, and I already have a new one on the way. It's really that good.




O cat-eye tem muito que se lhe diga. Desde que experimentei que fiquei fã e, desde então, que faz parte da minha rotina de maquilhagem. Não é que eu seja super profissional, mas passei de nunca ficar bem à primeira (a frustração às vezes era tanta que tinha mesmo que desistir) a fazê-lo não com uma braço às costas que não dava muito jeito, mas fica pronto em cinco minutos. Por isso aqui está como o faço.

The cat-eye can be tricky. Since I tried it that I became a huge fan and since then that its part of my makeup routine. I'm not a professional, but I went from never getting it right at first (it was so frustrating that sometimes I had to give up) to do it in five minutes. So here is all about it.




The Products

Os produtos podem ser uma grande ajuda e, depois de experimentar alguns, já não largo o Vinyl Waterproof Black Dipliner da Flormar. É realmente muito fácil de usar e o acabamento é muito bonito. A acompanhar o eyeliner, também nunca dispenso uma boa máscara de pestanas, mas essa tenho sempre alterando ao longo do tempo.

The right products that be a huge help and after trying a few, the Vinyl Waterproof Black Dipliner from Flormar is my favourite. It really is very easy to use, and it has a very beautiful finish. With the eyeliner, a good mascara is mandatory, but it's something that I've been changing a lot.




The Shape

Existem diferentes tipos de cat-eye e a única forma de descobrirem qual aquele que gostam mais é mesmo experimentar. Podem fazer mais grosso, mais fino, no olho todo, mais curto, o segredo é mesmo experimentar e escolherem qual aquele que mais gostam de ver em vocês. Em mim, eu gosto de ver um pouco mais grosso e a acabar no meio do olho, mas também é algo que tem variado ao longo do tempo.

There are a lot of different cat-eyes and the only way to find the one you prefer is to try them out. You can make it tricker, lighter, through the all eye, shorter, you just have to try it and see which one you think looks better on you. I really like it very tick and ending in the middle of the eye, but I've been through different phases.

How To Do It

Já publiquei no meu Instagram um Reels onde talvez seja mais fácil perceberem como o faço, podem vê-lo AQUI, mas é muito fácil. Começo por criar uma linha desde a ponta do olho para fora na direção da sobrancelha. Depois, no sentido contrário, faço outra linha com a grossura com que quero que fique. Depois é só preencher. 

I already posted on Instagram Reels a video where it's probably easier for you to see how I do it, you can watch it HERE, it's really easy. I start by drawing a line from the tip of the eye to the outside in the direction of the eyebrow. Then, on the other way, I draw a line with the thickness I want it to have. Then I fill it and it's done.







Hoje não tenho nenhum outfit para vos mostrar, nenhum produto, nem mesmo nenhum livro. Hoje tenho a minha pele para vos mostrar. Nua e crua. Com todas as imperfeições que vêm com ela. E, ao contrário daquilo que mostro diariamente, até são bastantes. Sempre tive boa pele, até mesmo nos meus anos de adolescente, nunca sofri de acne nem nada parecido, sempre foi bastante boa. No entanto, no início deste ano ficou bastante má. Comecei a ter várias borbulhas e durante o confinamento só ficou ainda pior. Por isso mesmo, agora tenho bastantes cicatrizes disso mesmo e as borbulhas ainda vão aparecendo de vez em quando.


Today I'm not sharing an outfit, not even a product or a book. Today I want to show you my skin. Just how it is. With flaws and all. And, against what I share on a daily basis, there are a lot of them. I always had good skin, even through my adolescence, I never had acne or anything like that, it was quite good. However, since the beginning of this year that it got pretty bad. I started getting a lot of red blemishes and, during the lockdown, it even got worst. For that reason, I now have a lot of scars and the occasional hormonal pimple.

 


Ando numa fase em que ando um pouco farta do meu cabelo. Quero fazer algo diferente, mas também não quero mudar imenso e, enquanto não me decido, tenho adorado experimentar novos hairstyles. É mesmo das melhores coisas de ter cabelo comprido, puder experimentar diferentes penteados com o cabelo. Aqui estão três que eu tenho adorado usar.


I´m going through a phase that I´m really bored with my hair. I want to do something different, but nothing too wild and, while I don´t make up my mind about that, I´ve been loving to try out new hairstyles. It really is one of the greatest things about having long hair, being able to try new hairstyles. So here are three that I´ve been loving right now.


The Bubble Ponytail



Pode parecer super difícil de fazer, mas o bubble ponytail é mesmo muito fácil de criar. Basta fazer um rabo-de-cavalo normalmente e, depois, com a ajuda de mais elásticos criar diferentes secções no cabelo, tentando manter a mesma distância entre elas. Por fim, basta soltar um pouco as secções criadas para criar o efeito bubble.


It might look really hard to do, but the bubble ponytail is really easy to create. You just have to do the regular ponytail and then with some extra rubber bands create different sections in your hair, maintaining the same distance between them. Then you just have to loosen up the sections to create the bubble effect.


The Low Ponytail




Também o low ponytail é algo que tenho usado imenso. Gosto bastante pois é mais relaxado e igualmente fácil de fazer. Apenas têm de fazer um rabo de cabelo normal, mas um pouco mais em baixo. Gosto especialmente de ver este hairstyle com um scrunchie.


Also, the low ponytail is something I´ve been using a lot. I really like it since I find it more relaxed and equally easy to do. You just have to do a ponytail lower in your head. I really like to see this hairstyle with a scrunchie.


The Hair Clip



De todos os hairstyles que vos mostrei, este é para mim o mais difícil de fazer. Na verdade é bastante simples, basta enrolar o cabelo num messy bun e segurá-lo com uma mola, mas o meu problema é que tenho bastante cabelo e, por vezes, é difícil segurar todo o meu cabelo com apenas uma mola. O truque é ter paciência e uma mola bastante grande, se ficar messy também é um pouco o objetivo deste hairstyle.


From all the hairstyles I showed you, to me, this is the hardest. Actually is very simple, you just have to tie your hair around and hold it together with a hair clip, but my problem is that I have a lot of hair and sometimes it can be hard to hold all my hair with just one hair clip. The trick is to be patient and get a very large hair clip, if it gets messy, it kind is the point of this hairstyle anyway.



Se bem se lembram, no início do ano partilhei com vocês que um dos meus objectivos este ano era trocar todos os meus produtos de beleza e maquilhagem por produtos de marcas cruelty-free. Ainda estou longe de o atingir, mas tenho dado pequenos passos. Já consegui alterar alguns produtos e descobri marcas cruelty-free que gostei muito. É isso mesmo que venho partilhar hoje com vocês, bem como os meus produtos favoritos de cada uma das marcas. Digam-me se conhecem mais marcas cruelty-free que devia experimentar, pois no que toca a maquilhagem ainda tenho um longo caminho pela frente.

I don't know if you can remember, but at the beginning of the year, I shared with you that one of my goals this year was to switch all my beauty products to products from cruelty-free brands. I'm still far away from reaching this goal, but I'm in the right direction. I already changed a few products and found some cruelty-free brands that I became a fan of. That's exactly what I'm sharing with you today, and also some of my favourite products from each brand. Tell me if you know more cruelty-free brands that I should try, when it comes to makeup, I still have a long way ahead of me.

Skincare: The Ordinary

Como já disse no meu Instagram, eu gosto imenso do creme hidratante da Kiehl's, no entanto, quando este acabou, visto que tinha este objectivo, decidi experimentar o creme hidratante da The Ordinary. Além de ser uma marca bem mais barata do que a Kiehl's (algo que eu julgava ser exactamente o contrário), é também uma marca com imensa qualidade. O creme hidratante é já um dos meus favoritos, mas mal posso esperar por experimentar os séruns pelos quais são tão conhecidos.

Like I already said on my Instagram, I really like Kiehl's moisturizer cream, but it finished, and since I have this goal, I decided to try out a moisturizer from The Ordinary. Besides being way cheaper than Kiehl's (something that I really wasn't aware of), it's also very high-quality. The moisturizer is already one of my favourites, and I can't wait to try their very-well known serums.


Haircare: Gisou

Já devem estar fartos de me ouvir falar da Gisou, mas é mesmo das minhas marcas favoritas de haircare. Quero imenso experimentar mais produtos, tenho imensa curiosidade em experimentar o champô e a máscara, mas o honey infused oil é mesmo dos melhores produtos que já usei no meu cabelo.

You're probably already tired of hearing me talk about Gisou, but when it comes to hair care, it really is one of my favourite brands. I really want to try their other products, I'm very curious about the shampoo and the hair mask, but the honey infused oil is one of the best products I ever used in my hair.

Makeup: Flormar

Já há algum tempo que tenho produtos da Flormar, mas, apenas recentemente, descobri que é uma marca cruelty-free. O eyeliner que uso é de lá e é dos melhores que já usei, mas tenho muitos outros produtos de lá que tenho adorado usar, tal como algumas sombras de olhos e blushs, mas sem dúvida que quero experimentar mais produtos e também descobrir outras marcas de maquilhagem cruelty-free, acho que é mesmo o campo onde tenho mais dificuldade em encontrar produtos.

It has been a while since I first started using Flormar's products, but only recently I found out that it's a cruelty-free brand. The eyeliner I use is from this brand and it's my favourite ever, but I also have other products from this brand that I've been loving to use, such as eyeshadows and blush, but I definitely want to try more products and also find other cruelty-free makeup brands, it has been really hard for me to find cruelty-free makeup products. 


Já há alguns meses que o cat-eye faz parte da minha rotina de maquilhagem. Sempre gostei imenso de ver, mas sempre tive bastante dificuldade em fazê-lo. Quando comecei a fazer, até fiz um post sobre isso (podem ver AQUI), mas desde essa altura que já melhorei imenso e até o eyeliner que uso é diferente. Por isso, se também vocês querem ser prós a fazer o cat-eye, este post é para vocês.

For a few months now that the cat-eye is part of my makeup routine. I always loved it, but I always found it really hard to do. When I first started doing it, I wrote a blog post about it (you can read it HERE), but since then that I improved a lot and even the eyeliner I use is different. So if you also want to master the cat-eye, this post is for you.

A minha maior dificuldade sempre foi fazer com que o eyeliner ficasse igual nos dois olhos. E se no início acabava sempre por ter de repetir duas a três vezes, hoje já fica feito logo à primeira. Ver diferentes tutoriais no Youtube ajuda imenso, mas eu gostei bastante deste vídeo da Kylie Jenner.

To me, the hardest thing always was to make it even. If when I started doing it I had to do it two or three times before I got it, now I do it straight away. Try watching different tutorials on Youtube, but I really liked this one by Kylie Jenner.


My Tips

Na vossa rotina de maquilhagem, comecem sempre com o eyeliner. Se não tiverem muita experiência em fazer e correr mal, têm de retirar tudo para fazer novamente. Desta forma não estão a estragar toda a maquilhagem. //
The eyeliner should always be the first step on your makeup routine. If you don't have much experience doing the cat-eye and it goes wrong, you have to take everything off to do it all over again. This way you're not ruining your whole makeup.

Quando comecei a fazer o eyeliner, começava a fazer o eyeliner de fora para dentro. Isto é, fazia o a curva primeiro e só depois o resto do olho, mas agora acho bem mais fácil começar no olho e seguir a forma do mesmo. //
When I first started doing the eyeliner, I started from the outside of the eye to the inside. I mean, I first did the flick and then filled the eye. It really depends, but I now find it easier to start from the middle of the eye and then follow its format to the outside.

Usem um eyeliner líquido, de preferência em caneta ou pincél. Eu pelo menos acho bem mais fácil. //
Use a liquid eyeliner, preferably a pen or a pencil. I find it way easier to use.

Pratiquem muito e experimentem todos os tipos de eyeliners. Todos nós temos formatos de olhos diferentes e, por isso, têm de adaptar o formato do cat-eye. Eu, pessoalmente, gosto de o fazer mais curvo e longo em direcção à sobrancelha e nunca faço no olho todo, acho que ao fazer o eyeliner completo faz com que os meus olhos pareçam mais pequenos. //
Practice and try out the different kinds of eyeliner to see what works best for you. We all have different eye shapes so you have to adapt the eyeliner to your eyes. I really like to make mine long and curvy, kind of facing my eyebrows and I never go through the whole eye, I feel like it makes my eyes look small, so I just finish the line in the middle of my eye.

The Eyeliner

Na altura que fiz o primeiro post, estava a usar um eyeliner da Eyeko, mas, já há alguns meses que tenho usado o Vynil Waterproof Dipliner da Flormar e não me canso de falar bem dele. Para alguém que não tem muita prática a fazer este tipo de eyeliner, este é mesmo muito fácil de aplicar. É à prova de água (algo que aconselho imenso) e fica perfeito durante todo o dia. E, além disso, é cruelty-free.

When I wrote the first post, I was using an eyeliner from Eyeko, but from a few months now that I've been using the Vynil Waterproof Diplinert by Flormar and I can't stop raving about it. For someone who doesn't really know how to do the cat-eye, this one is really easy to apply. It's waterproof (something that I really recommend) and stays in place throughout the day. And also, it's cruelty-free.

Já há algum tempo que não fazia um post com produtos de beleza/maquilhagem que tenho usado, mas gosto sempre de testar tudo com calma e ver como realmente funcionam na minha pele. It has been a while since I wrote a post about the beauty/makeup products I've been using, but I really like to test them out and see how they really work on my skin. These products that I'm sharing with you today are products that I really love and that I swear by, some I already bought for the second time around. Have you tried any of them?


Comecei a usar este gel de limpeza no fim do ano passado e desde então que não o larguei. Ao mesmo tempo que desmaquilha a pele, também a limpa, deixando-a super suave e hidratada. Desde que comecei a usar eyeliner que foi bastante difícil encontrar um produto que limpasse os olhos na perfeição sem os deixar irritados, mas este gel é simplesmente perfeito.

I started using this cleansing gel last year, and since then I just can't use anything else. It cleanses while removing makeup, tones and soothes the skin, maintaining hydration at the same time. Since I started using eyeliner that was very hard for me to find a makeup remover that removed the makeup from my eyes without making them feel scratchy, but this gel is perfect.

Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation

Antes de usar esta base, estava a usar a Pro Filt'r da Fenty Beauty. Não é que não tenha gostado dela, mas tinha bastante curiosidade em experimentar esta da Nars e ainda bem que o fiz, pois gosto bem mais desta. Ao contrário da base da Fenty Beauty, esta é bem mais leve, mas com o mesmo grau de cobertura e com um acabamento mais luminoso. É a primeira vez que uso produtos da Nars, mas já estou rendida.

Before trying out this foundation, I was using Pro Filt'r by Fenty Beauty. I really liked it, but I was very curious to try out this one by Nars, and I'm so glad I did it because I like this one even better. Against the Fenty Beauty foundation, this one feels lighter on the skin, but with the same level of coverage and with a more luminous finishing. It's the first time I'm using Nars products, but I'm already a fan.

Vichy Pureté Thermale Mineral Micellar Water

Para limpar a pele uso sempre o gel de que vos falei em cima, mas existe alturas em que estou com mais pressa ou quando estou em viagem e que quero um produto que seja mais rápido e que não precise de uma rotina de pele tão extensa. Para essas alturas, água micelar é o produto indicado. Esta da Vichy é das minhas favoritas. Limpa a pele na perfeição, deixando-a bastante suave.

To cleanse my skin I always use the gel I told you about before, but sometimes I want something quick for when I'm in a rush or while I'm travelling and so I need a product that it's faster and that I don't need to do my whole skincare routine. For these times micellar water is my go-to, and this one by Vichy is my favourite. Cleanses the skin and leaves it very soft.

Há umas semanas atrás, fui a um evento da Kiehl's, uma marca de cosmética que já há muito queria experimentar. Já há algum tempo que a minha pele não anda nos seus melhores dias, a chegada dos dias frios também não ajuda, por isso decidi investir em alguns produtos e criar uma nova rotina de pele para ver se resulta. Estes são os produtos que tenho usado e, apesar de as diferenças ainda não serem super visíveis, eu já sinto a minha pele bem mais suave e saudável. Tenho então usado o Rare Earth Deep Pore para limpar a pele, o sérum Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing e o tão famoso creme Ultra Facial para hidratar a pele. Duas vezes por semana tenho também usado uma máscara da qual estou mega fã, a Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing. Estou a adorar usar estes produtos, mas claro que não vão resultar da mesma forma em todos os diferentes tipos de pele. Esta é uma rotina, essencialmente, para peles normais com tendência a ficarem desidratadas. Já conheciam algum destes produtos?

A few weeks ago, I went to a Kiehl's event, a cosmetic brand that I've been wanting to try for a long time now. My skin has seen better days, so I decided to invest in some products and create a completely new skincare routine to try to make my skin look better. These are the products that I've been using lately. And even though the differences aren't major, I can already feel my skin softer and healthier. So I've been using the Rare Earth Deep Pore to clean my skin, the Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing serum and the famous Ultra Facial moisturizer to hydrate my skin. Twice a week I've been also using this face mask that I'm really loving, the Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing. I'm really enjoying these products, but, obviously, they don't work the same way with all the different skin types. This is a routine mainly for normal skins with a tendency to dehydrate.
