Como criadora de conteúdo, seria de pensar que o meu grande objetivo seria ter muitos seguidores e uma comunidade enorme nas redes sociais. E, sim, não posso dizer que não gostava. Neste mundo, afinal de contas, é um dos grandes sinais de sucesso. Mas, por outro lado, também é algo que me assusta bastante e, cada vez mais, penso como é bonito ter uma comunidade mais pequena em que realmente podemos comunicar uns com os outros. Uma comunidade que te conhece, que sabe aquilo que gostas de fazer, que sabe a intenção por trás das tuas palavras e com a qual realmente te consegues conectar. Cheguei a esta conclusão depois de alguns dos meus vídeos no TikTok terem alcançado views gigantescas. É verdade que o algoritmo do TikTok funciona muito bem e que é bem mais fácil chegar a mais pessoas do que em outras redes sociais (sim Instagram, estou a falar sobre ti), mas isto também significa que os vídeos vão chegar a pessoas que não fazem a mínima ideia de quem és. Vão ver um vídeo solto que lhes apareceu na For Your Page e julgar-te apenas através desse vídeo. E, sinceramente, com base nos comentários que essas pessoas deixam nos vídeos, não são pessoas que eu quero na minha comunidade. Mas ter um grupo grande de seguidores, quer dizer que vais ter todo o tipo de pessoas a seguir-te e, sinceramente, não é algo com o qual eu quero lidar. Adoro a minha (pequena) comunidade. E como se costuma dizer, mais vale poucos, mas bons. Não podia concordar mais.

As a content creator, you would think that one of my main goals is to grow my following and have a huge community on social media. And, yes, I can't say that I wouldn't like it. After all, in this world, that's one of the biggest signs of success. But, on the other hand, it also scares me and more and more I think how beautiful it is to have a small community where you can actually talk to each other. A community that knows you, that knows what you like to do, that knows the intention behind your words and with whom you can really connect. I came to this conclusion after some of my TikTok videos got a lot of views. Indeed, the TikTok algorithm works very well and it's very easy to reach a bigger audience compared to other social media apps (yes Instagram, I'm talking about you) but this also means that your videos will reach people who have no idea who you are. They will only watch a video and judge you based on that. And honestly, judging by the comments those people usually leave on the videos, those are people I don't want in my community. But having a huge following means having all kinds of people connecting with you and I wonder if that is something I want to deal with. I love my (small) community. Quality over quantity for sure.

Um novo mês está mesmo agora a começar e, como tal, aqui estão os meus favoritos de Março. Foi um mês cheio de coisas boas e tenho imenso para partilhar com vocês. Estou mesmo a gostar muito deste novo formato, mas ainda quero torná-lo mais interativo (ideias são super bem-vindas). E uma coisa que me tenho esquecido de dizer nos últimos posts, o outfit que normalmente partilho neste post é também o meu outfit favorito do mês. Partilhem também comigo os vossos favoritos, adorava saber.

A new month is starting so here are my favourites from March. It was a month full of good things and I have many things to share with you. I'm really enjoying this new format but would love to make it more interactive (ideas are very welcomed). And something that I keep forgetting to mention, the outfit I share on this post is also my favourite outfit of the month. Now please share with me your monthly favourites, I would love to know.

One Day

Para ser completamente honesta com vocês, ainda não acabei esta série, mas a minha intenção é mesmo essa. Toda a gente à minha volta me disse que o último episódio é de chorar rios de lágrimas (e no penúltimo episódio dá para perceber porquê), por isso, eu, simplesmente, não vi o último episódio. E sabem que mais? Adorei a série. Adorei todos os cenários, a construção das personagens e o desenvolvimento da sua relação. Se não querem despedaçar o vosso coração, façam como eu não e não vejam o último episódio. Agora o que quero fazer é ler o livro para ficar a conhecer mesmo toda a história.

To be totally honest with you, I haven't finished this TV show but that's my intention. Everyone around me told me how awful the last episode is (and on the episode before that one you can understand why) so I just chose to not watch it. And you know what? I loved this TV show. I love the scenarios, the building of the characters and the development of their relationship. If you don't want to have your heart broken just do like I did and skip the last episode. Now I really want to read the book to get to know the whole story.

Cubinho Ao Vivo

Já no primeiro episódio desta série vos disse o quanto eu tenho adorado ouvir o podcast Cubinho. Agora pude, finalmente, vê-los ao vivo. Foi sem dúvida um dos highlights do meu mês. Eles são, provavelmente, os meus comediantes portugueses favoritos neste momento. Aconselho imenso verem se eles estiverem pela vossa cidade.

This one is for my Portuguese readers but I already told you how much I love Cubinho's podcast and now I had the chance to see them live. It was so fun and they are probably my favourite Portuguese comedians right now.

Primeira vez que partilho um produto de maquilhagem, mas, já sabem, que neste post tudo conta. Já há algum tempo que andava à procura de um batom para o dia-a-dia e esta é mesmo perfeito. O que eu tenho é o nude pink e super que aconselho. Muito simples e natural, mas era mesmo isso que eu queria.

This is the first time that I'm sharing a beauty product but you already know that in this blog post, everything goes. I've been looking for an everyday lipstick for a while now and this one is perfect. I got the 'nude pink' and I highly recommend it. Very simple and natural but it's exactly what I've been looking for.

Desde que ouvi a Tana Mongeau no podcast da Whitney Cummings que fiquei obcecada. Não fazia a mínima ideia de quem ela era, mas claro que já fiz um deep dive da sua vida e já sei tudo. E, claro, comecei a ouvir o seu podcast com a Brooke Schofield: o Cancelled podcast. Se querem algo leve, sem censuras sobre o mundo de Hollywood e todos os seus escândalos, este podcast é exatamente o que procuram.

Since I first saw Tana Mongeau on Whitney Cumming's podcast I got obsessed with her. I had no idea who she was but of course, I already went on a deep dive into her life and now I know everything. And, of course, I start listening to her podcast with Brooke Schofield: the Cancelled podcast. I love it. They are so funny. If you're looking for something light, with no political correctness bulsh*t and a look into the crazy world of Hollywood this is the podcast you're looking for.

Encontrei esta loja no TikTok (na verdade, a Marta encontrou) e, depois de a visitar, passou a ser uma das minhas favoritas no Porto. A seleção de roupas e acessórios é incrível e a dona da loja é um amor. Super que recomendo se estiverem pelo Porto.

I found this store on TikTok (actually Marta did) and, after visiting it, it's already one of my favourites in Porto. The clothes and accessories selection is amazing and the owner is the sweetest. I highly recommend it if you're in town.

Laura Borba's TikTok account

E ainda falando sobre a loja Palmirita: foi no TikTok da Laura que a vi pela primeira vez e tenho adorado o conteúdo dela (thank you TikTok's for you page). Além de partilhar lojas em segunda-mão pelo Porto, também partilha sempre os mercados vintage que vão decorrer em cada fim-de-semana.

And still about Palmirita: it was on Laura's TikTok page that I first saw it and I'm loving her content (thank you TikTok's for you page). Besides sharing lots of vintage stores in Porto, she also shares all the vintage markets that are going to happen each weekend.

As eleições estão mesmo aí à porta e, mais do que nunca, temos de sair das nossas casas e votar. Confesso que estava com algumas dúvidas e este quiz, feito por um amigo meu, ajudou-me bastante. Claro que não existe uma fórmula mágica para determinar qual o partido com o qual mais nos identificamos, mas é mais uma ferramenta que pode ajudar.

Idles' new album

Parece que os Idles são um tema recorrente nestes posts, mas, como vos disse no mês passado, eles lançaram um novo álbum, TANGK, e adorei. Mal posso esperar por os ver ao vivo amanhã, estou super entusiasmada! Eles têm mais algumas datas pela Europa se tiverem interesse em ver.

I feel like Idles are a recurring theme in this post, but like I told you the previous month, they launched a new album, TANGK, and I really love it. I can't wait to see them live tomorrow, so excited. They are touring all over Europe for the next couple of months so just check the dates and maybe you can catch them in your city.

Térmita book store

E, por último, uma livraria que descobri por acaso no Porto. Chama-se Térmita e fica mesmo ao lado do Candelabro. Adorei a vibe. Foca-se mais em poesia, mas podem encontrar de tudo um pouco, e, no fundo, tem ainda uma galeria de arte. É mesmo o tipo de espaços que eu gosto de frequentar.

And, last but not least, a bookstore I found randomly in Porto. It's called Térmita and is right next to Candelabro (a very famous bar in town). I loved the vibe. It focuses on poetry but you can find a bit of everything and, at the end, it has an art gallery. It really is the kind of place I like going to.

Hello, hello! I hope you are all well. I know I've been really quiet over here but there are a lot of things happening. I just started my YouTube channel as you know and I'm working on some really fun projects. But I really miss writing here and talking to you guys so I came up with this idea: the On My Favourites List. This is the first post where I will share a lot of things I'm enjoying at the moment. From fashion to music, anything counts really. I think I will do it monthly so I always have lots of fun things to share with you. So just keep scrolling to find out everything. And please share all your favourites with me, I would love to know.

1. Gift Horse by Idles

Desde que, vi os Idles ao vivo no NOS Alive que fiquei fã. Vão lançar um novo álbum no próximo mês e estou completamente viciada no novo single, Gift Horse. Estou também extremamente ansiosa pelo concerto que eles vão dar no Porto no próximo mês, mal posso esperar por vê-los ao vivo novamente (e desta vez sabendo todas as letras).

Since I first watched Idles live at NOS Alive I've become a huge fan. They're launching a new album next month and I'm very much addicted to their new single, Gift Horse. I'm also very excited because next month they are coming to Porto so I cannot wait to see them live again (and this time knowing all the songs).

2. 5 Year Diary

Este ano, pela primeira vez, decidi comprar um 5 Year Diary e estou a amar. O que eu comprei foi feito pela Salomé e pelo André, por isso, é ainda mais especial, nota-se mesmo que foi pensado ao pormenor, mas mal posso esperar por daqui a uns anos olhar para todas estas memórias.

This year I decided to purchase my first 5 Year Diary and I'm loving it so much. The one that I have was designed by Salomé and André so it's extra special, you can really tell they took extra care with all the little details, but I really cannot wait to in a few years looking back at all these memories.

3. Cubinho podcast

Posso ter chegado tarde à festa, mas mais vale tarde do que nunca. Tenho adorado ouvir o podcast dos Cubinho. Eles têm mesmo muita piada. Como só os descobri agora, nunca irei saber.

I might be late for the party, but better late than never. This one is just for my Portuguese followers, but I've been loving listening to the Cubinho podcast. They are all so funny and I don't know how I just found out about them now.

4. Move with Nicole's pilates videos

Quando não treino no ginásio, gosto de fazer pilates em casa e tenho adorado os vídeos da Move with Nicole. São vídeos calmos com vários níveis de intensidade. Mesmo quando não sinto vontade de treinar, há sempre algo no seu canal que me motiva a mexer o corpo.

When I don't go to the gym, I like to do some pilates at home and I love Move with Nicole's videos. They are so calm and with different levels of intensity. Even when I don't feel like working out, there's always something in her channel that gives me the strength to move my body.

5. Von & Vonnie's Chai Latte

Não sei se é estranho sugerir uma bebida, mas é o meu blog e eu faço o que quero. Estou a brincar, mas se estiverem pelo Porto, têm de experimentar o chai latte do Von & Vonnie. É, genuinamente, o melhor que já bebi. E o café é lindíssimo, por isso não há como falhar.

I don't know if it's weird to suggest a drink but it's my blog and I do what I want to. I'm just kidding, but guys, if you're in Porto you have to try Von & Vonnie's chai latte. It's genuinely the best I have ever had. And the coffee shop is gorgeous so you will always win.

Não sou a maior fã de resoluções do Ano Novo. Sempre senti que têm uma enorme pressão associadas com elas. Mas sou uma grande fã de manifestação (podem até aproveitar para ler o post que fiz no ano passado sobre o vision board AQUI) e escrever aquilo que queremos para a nossa vida, quer seja no ano novo ou numa outra qualquer altura do ano. Por isso mesmo, tenho adorado uma trend que tenho visto nas redes sociais: 2024 Ins and Outs. Basicamente, coisas que queremos levar connosco para o novo ano e coisas que queremos deixar para trás. Gosto bastante desta trend, porque as pessoas têm partilhado objetivos que são fáceis de atingir. Pequenas coisas que podem tornar a nossa vida melhor. Portanto, aqui estão os meus 2024 ins & outs. Adorava que partilhassem comigo os vossos e, mesmo que não queiram partilhar, tiram um tempo para os escrever, acreditem que pode ser bastante terapêutico.

I'm not the biggest fan of New Year's resolutions. I feel like there's so much pressure attached to them. But I'm a fan of manifestation (actually, last year I wrote a blog post about the vision board that you can read HERE) and writing down what you want in life, either that being on New Year or any other time of the year. That's why I'm loving this trend that I've been seeing on social media lately: 2024 Ins and Outs. Basically, things you want to bring with you to the new year and things you want to leave behind. I really like this trend because people actually share things that you can totally achieve. Small things that you can do to improve your life. So here are my 2024 ins & outs. I would love it if you could share yours with me. And even if you don't want to share them, just take a few minutes of your day to write them down, it can be really therapeutic.

Este será o último post antes do Natal, por isso queria mesmo partilhar este outfit que usei para um jantar de Natal, porque, para ser completamente honesta com vocês, na véspera de Natal vou estar a usar um fato-de-treino ou algo do género. Eu adoro este outfit, mas preciso de algo mais confortável para me puder encher de comida deliciosa e cocktails ainda melhores. Não será um post longo, apenas vos queria desejar um feliz Natal. This is going to be the last post before Christmas so I really wanted to post this outfit I wore for a Christmas dinner because, to be honest with you on Christmas Eve I'll probably be in a tracksuit. I truly love this outfit but I need something a bit more comfortable (and giving) so I can stuff myself with delicious food and even better cocktails. This is not going to be a long post as usual, I just really wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas. Estamos, oficialmente, em Dezembro. É a altura mais bonita do ano. Não só porque estamos na contagem decrescente para o Natal, mas também porque é a altura dos Vlogmas. Como uma pessoa que adoro ver vlogs, ter um novo vídeo para ver ao fim de um dia longo ao frio com uma bebida quentinha e enrolada em cobertores, quase que parece que o Pai Natal chegou mais cedo. Mas não posso deixar de pensar: ainda são relevantes os Vlogmas? Não me interpretem mal, eu adoro ver. Estou até a fazer no meu TikTok e estou a adorar. Mas parece que cada vez menos Youtubers estão a fazê-lo. Aliás, vlogs no geral. A maioria dos Youtubers que eu sigo não querem ter um retrato tão íntimo das suas vidas na Internet. E eu percebo. E tenho a certeza que fazer um vlog todos os dias durante uma altura do ano tão atarefada é complicado. Eu estou a fazê-lo para o TikTok e dá imenso trabalho, tenho a certeza, que no Youtube ainda será mais díficil. Mas não vale a pena? Ter todas estas memórias filmadas? Saber que estamos a alegrar o dia de alguém de alguma forma? Quase que parece que é o fim de uma era no Youtube e é triste, pois todos os vídeos que eu gosto de ver estão a acabar. De todos os Youtubers que eu sigo, apenas um está a fazer Vlogmas e com vídeos bastante curtos e superficiais. Não é a verdadeira essência do Vlogmas. Tenho saudades dos dias glórios do Youtube, onde se partilhava as vidas e todas as atividades de Natal. Talvez sejam só os criadores que eu sigo, talvez precise de encontrar novas pessoas para seguir. Mas o que acham vocês? Acompanham Vlogmas? Acham que ainda é relevante?

It's officially December. It's the most wonderful time of the year. Not only because we are on the countdown for Christmas but also because it's Vlogmas time. As a person who loves watching vlogs, having a new one to watch after a long day out in the cold wrapped up in a blanket with a warm drink in hand, it almost feels like Santa came early. But I can't help but think: is Vlogmas still a thing? Don't get me wrong, I love watching them. I'm even doing it over on TikTok and I'm having so much fun. But I feel like fewer and fewer Youtubers are doing them. Actually, vlogs in general. I feel like the Youtubers I used to follow don't want to have such an intimate look into their lives on the Internet. And, yes, I get it. And I bet it's a lot of work. I have to record and edit the videos I'm doing for TikTok every single day, and I'm sure it's even more work if you're uploading on YouTube. But isn't it worth it? Having all those memories recorded? And knowing that you're making the day of someone just a little bit happier? It almost feels like it's the end of an era and it's quite sad. Of all the Youtubers I follow, only one is doing Vlogmas and the videos are quite short and superficial. It's not the real meaning of Vlogmas. I miss the gold old days when Youtubers shared all the Christmas activities they were doing and their real lives. Maybe it's just the people I follow, maybe I need to find other creators on YouTube. But what do you think? Do you watch Vlogmas? Are they still a thing?

Não, não me esqueci deste blog. Apenas estou a passar por uma writer's block nos últimos tempos. Tenho estas fotografias preparadas há imenso tempo, mas, simplesmente, nada para falar com vocês. Estou, completamente, sem inspiração. Escrevi este post umas dezenas de vezes e acabei por apagar tudo o que escrevi, pois não estava a gostar de nada. Parecia tudo super forçado. Não sei como explicar, mas nem sempre é fácil escrever por diversão. Trabalho como content writer, por isso, chegar ao fim do dia de trabalho e escrever novamente nem sempre é fácil para mim. Às vezes, tenho um tópico em mente e escrevo sem dificuldade nenhuma, e, outras, fico em frente do computador, literalmente, a olhar para mim (estas fotos) sem fazer ideia do que escrever. Só para terem uma ideia, este post já se chamou 'O que gosto no Outono' (quem quer saber?), 'I Think I Like This Little Life' (uma analogia com a música tendência que começou como uma boa idea mas acabou a soar muito motivational speaker da minha parte' e 'ahsdhaush' (o que escrevo quando não sei do que vou falar). E aqui estou eu a escrever sobre não saber o que escrever, esperta, certo? Mas não tenho mesmo mais nada para dizer. Nenhum tópico interessante, nenhuma discussão. Só queria mesmo publicar estas fotos. Prometo que vou tentar trazer algo mais interessante para a próxima. Espero que, pelo menos, gostem do oufit.

No, I haven't forgotten about this blog. I just have been through a writer's block lately. I had these photos ready for ages but I just didn't know what to talk about. I just had no inspiration. I wrote a million different things and ended up deleting everything because I just didn't feel it. It felt forced and it didn't feel like me. I just don't know how to explain it, but it's not always easy to write just for fun. I work as a content writer so at the end of the working day and writing again, it's not always easy for me. Sometimes I have a topic in mind and things just flow, other times I just stand in front of the computer, literally looking at myself (these photos) and not knowing what to write about. Just for you to have an idea, this post was already titled: 'What I Like About Autumn' (who cares?), 'I Think I Like This Little Life' (an analogy with the super trendy song and a deep dive into the topic that started feeling a bit too motivational speaker of me) and 'ahsdhaush' (what I write when I don't know what to write about). And here I am turning things around and writing about having nothing to write about, clever, right? But I literally have nothing else to say. No rant. No discussion. I just really wanted to post these photos. I'll try to bring something more interesting next time. I hope you like the outfit at least.
