I know it has been a while since the last time I did a post for the 'Where To Eat' series, but this time I was in Lisbon I had the opportunity to go to some new cafes that I loved so obviously I'm going to share everything with you. And the first one is Café Janis. I've seen some pretty nice photos from the cafe over on Instagram so I really wanted to go there, so we went there on our first day to have some breakfast. It's really close to Cais do Sodré so it's really easy to get there. I recommend you to go as early as possible because it can get really crowded. As it was a very nice day we stayed outside (and the outside area really reminds me of those Parisian cafés) to enjoy the Sun. For breakfast, I ordered an avocado toast and my usual cappuccino. I paid 9€ for it. Summing up, if you live in Lisbon or if you're around, Café Janis is a mandatory stop. I really liked it!

On this post, I told you about the #NoShoppingMonth challenge that I did to myself during February and on this post I told you how I totally failed that challenge because of a dress I couldn't resist. Well, this is the dress I was talking about. Am I forgiven? I totally fell in love with it and although I didn't bring it with me right away (because of the challenge), it has everything that I love about a dress and not to mention that it's in one of my favourite prints of all times. I'm pretty sure I'll be wearing it all the time during Summer. And although I wore it with sneakers for a more casual look, it's a very versatile piece and with the right accessories, I can easily wear it to a more formal event. To finish I have to tell you how happy I got for the warm weather around Lisbon which made possible for me to wear the dress for the first time. Tell me, do you think I made the right choice by buying it?

I'm back from Lisbon, but before sharing all the content I created over there, I wanted to do an outfit recap with all the outfits I shared with you lately. And you know something funny? Almost all of them have a vintage piece. I'm really going through a phase of exploring vintage stores (as I already told you on the post of one of these outfits) and maybe I will bring more content related to that, what do you think? But now tell me, which outfit is your favourite? Of course, I like them all, but the first one has a special place in my heart because it was a very warm day and it was the first time this year I wore a skirt with no tights!

Digam-me qual delas é a vossa favorita.

Don't ask me why, but if there's something that I really like buying at vintage stores are bags. They are always quite different and you can't find something that like anywhere else so every time I go to a vintage store I go straight into the bag section. I already found quite some treasures and some of them for only 1€. What I'm showing you today is my (still small) vintage bag collection. Unfortunately, you can't find them anywhere since they're vintage, but I will try to leave some links with some alternatives. Tell me which model is your favourite.

The Mock Croc Bag

This was my last acquisition and a real bargain. If I tell you I only paid 1€ for it, would you believe it? Well, you can believe it, because it's true. When I saw it at the store I thought it was really cute. I love the asymmetric shape and how the handle is different on both sides. A really unique piece.

The Slouchy Bag

Another bag with a different shape, but I love it. I was never a big fan of browns, but this got my heart and it has a very beautiful tone. Although it seems small, it can fit everything that I need to carry with me.

The Half-Moon Bag

This is probably the bag that you see here the most, but it really looks good with loads of things. The pattern it has it's always a nice detail to add to an outfit and sometimes I really like to match it with other patterns. I really like it and the only bad thing about is that is very small so when I carry the disposable camera with me it gets very full, but nothing that you can't fix.

I never thought I would write this, but I think I've become a Summer person. If some months ago you asked me which was my favourite season I would definitely say Autumn and Winter at least until December. But I think that changed. I never wanted Summer so bad as this year and there are a few things that are making me wish this season to arrive asap. The first one is the longer days. Maybe it's because I started working, but I love getting at the end of the day and still have sunlight outside, it feels like I still have a whole day ahead of me. I've also been really into Summer clothing lately. If before I thought it was boring and without many choices, right now I'm really a fan of that easier way of dressing and loving dresses and skirts. Summing up, I really really want Summer to arrive. But you know how I am and how I'm always wishing the season that I can't have. If you can remember, just some months ago I was writing how I was so tired of the warm weather and really wanting Winter. So let's wait for Summer to arrive and I'll do a new update then.

We all have done the mistake of buying something for the hype of it. When you're a kid you do it with toys, as an adult, if you follow fashion influencers it can happen with clothes (that leopard mid skirt from Realisation Pair is a prime example) and if you like to read you can end up buying books that everyone is reading. I've been wanting to read "The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F*ck" for a while and when the Portuguese edition came up I decided I was going to read it. Self-improvement books are definitely not the kind of books I usually read, but the title spoke to me and I really wanted to know the reason for all the hype around it. Final conclusion: I didn't like it. And these are the three reasons why.

1. Common Sense

A mensagem é bastante banal e nada inspiradora.

If you think you're going to be reading an inspirational book you're totally wrong. Most of the things you're going to read are common sense and something that you probably already learned on your own. The message is banal and not inspiring at all. Maybe that's the point of the book, maybe the author doesn't want it to be inspiring, but I didn't like it and of course that's just my opinion. Maybe you will feel completely different if you read it.

2. Doesn't Go With What I Believe

As you know I'm a firm believer in the law of attraction. I do believe that everything you get your energy into will end up happening. This book tells you exactly the opposite. Maybe I'm just a dreamer and a very positive person, but I feel that from some pages forward (because at the beginning I was actually really liking the book) the message is very negative and just tells you that some things no matter what just will not happen to you and with that I can't agree.

3. It's Not Subtle At All

If I could l would totally change the title of this book, it's not the subtle art of not giving a fuck, it's just the art of not giving a fuck. As you're reading through it, you just feel like the author doesn't give a fuck about anything at all and I don't think that's the right way to live life really.

Inspiration. Where to begin? It's something so uncertain, but so necessary when you post content on a daily basis. Even the most creative minds can go through periods where inspiration is almost null and honestly is one of the worst things that can happen. Right now I'm feeling very inspired, but it's not always like this. If there's something I can tell you is that it's impossible to be inspired 365 days a year, but there are some things you can do to find inspiration again. These are three things that always work for me.

Plan A Day Trip Or A Weekend Get Away

Getting out of your city can do wonders to your mood, even if just for a day. I'm not saying to visit a city abroad (although if you feel like doing it, I totally recommend it), but visit a city where you have never been before. See new places, stroll around the streets and let yourself be inspired by a new city.

Create An Inspiring Place

If the place where you spend most of your time isn't inspiring, how do you expect to be inspired? It might be the place where you work or your own bedroom, but make sure it's cosy and inspiring. Maybe a new plant is what it needs or maybe even some frames with inspirational quotes.

Do A Moodboard

This one always works for me. Different images can inspire me a lot and creating mood boards I can organize my ideas and really see what's my mood at a certain moment. Visit websites like Pinterest and Tumblr, pick your favourite images and see what they have in common. You can even do some collages with magazines, sometimes doing something in the paper can be even more inspiring. Let your creativity flow and inspiration will return in a blink of an eye.

The consistency of these posts just shows what I've been saying: I've been loving doing this series here for the blog. This time besides some photos taken around Porto, there are also some photos that I took in Guimarães. Portugal has gorgeous cities and I can tell you that the next post of the 'Disposable Series' is going to be around another Portuguese city, are you curious? Just keep an eye on my Instagram and you will understand. Well, I hope you like the photos!

Fica aqui a minha sugestão. Digam-me tudo!

I already shared with you the concealer that I wear that it's actually quite cheap and that you can find at all the drug stores, but today I'm sharing with you my favourite eyeshadow palette that is also pretty good and quite cheap. The truth is that I was never really into eyeshadow and I usually never wear them, but this palette changed everything. I really like these warm tones. The palette is from Maybelline and it's called The Blushed Nude. They are all very glowy and with a very strong colour to them. To a makeup rookie like me is perfect. So here is my suggestion. Would you like me to share with you different makeup looks that I've done with it? Tell me everything!

More and more we've been talking about sustainability in fashion and that's something we should definitely be aware of. I already talked about it here a few times, but do you think this awareness we been through right now will dictate the end of the fashion hauls that I really like to watch on Youtube? The truth is that these videos have become less and less. I can speak for myself, I feel that doing the wishlist posts or the 'new in' with the things I've bought recently don't make much sense anymore. I love doing them because I really like sharing that kind of things with you, but I don't like feeling like I'm pushing consumerism. But on the other hand, this that I'm doing is directly related to clothes and how much would you enjoy a post with clothes that you can't buy anymore? I have to be honest here: I have stopped buying clothes with bad quality fabrics and I'm more and more into vintage, but I will never stop buying at fast fashion stores. I love clothes and sometimes a new piece of clothing in our wardrobe is all we need to feel inspired again. Maybe that piece is vintage, maybe it's not, but I would like to know if you still want me to share that with you or not. I'll be waiting for your opinion.
