A inspiração pode vir de qualquer lado. Esta minha viagem a Berlim inspirou-me imenso, vi imensas pessoas com imenso estilo e combinações de cores que eu nunca teria pensado e que quero imenso experimentar. Mas outra coisa onde também encontro bastante inspiração é no estilo das personagens das séries que vejo. Existem várias personagens conhecidas pelo seu estilo incrível, como por exemplo a Carrie Bradshaw de Sex and the City, ou a Serena Van Der Woodsen de Gossip Girl, mas uma personagem que me inspira imenso é o Chandler Bing de Friends e acho que podem ver um pouco disso neste outfit. Há qualquer coisa no colete de malha que me transporta logo para o estilo desta personagem. Mas, como já vos disse, é quase sempre no estilo masculino que encontro mais inspiração e esta personagem de Friends, para mim, representa na perfeição o estilo dos anos 90. Preparem-se para ver mais outfits inspirados nesta personagem.

Inspiration can come at any time and from anywhere. My last trip to Berlin was very inspiring, I saw people with an amazing style, and colour combinations that I would never thought of and that I really want to try. But something that also inspires me a lot is the style of the characters from the tv series that I watch. There are a lot of characters known for their impeccable style, like Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and The City, or Serena Van Der Woodsen from Gossip Girl, but a character that inspires me a lot is Chandler Bing from Friends, and I think you can see that on this outfit. There's something about the knitted vest that really reminds me of his style. As I already told you, the masculine style inspires me a lot, and this Friends' character perfected the art of '90s style, in my opinion. Get ready to see more Chandler Bing inspired outfits.

Ainda tenho as fotos analógicas dos meus dias por Berlim para vos mostrar, mas hoje vou-vos contar um pouco mais sobre esta minha viagem através do 'Berlin Travel Guide'. Como já vos contei, normalmente, sou sempre eu a fazer os roteiros das viagens que faço e Berlim foi uma cidade para a qual tive de fazer várias pesquisas. É uma cidade enorme, com diversas áreas e com muito para visitar. A rede de transportes é excelente e facilmente chegam a qualquer lado de transportes públicos. Gostei mesmo muito da cidade, o único ponto negativo foi o frio que se fez sentir durante estes dias, mas ficou a vontade de lá voltar com temperatura mais quente. Aqui fica o meu 'Berlin Travel Guide', espero que vos seja útil.

I still have the analogue photos from Berlin to show you, but today I'm going to tell you a bit more about my trip with this 'Berlin Travel Guide'. As I already told you, I'm usually always the one doing the travel guides to all my trips, and Berlin was a city that involved a lot of research. The city is huge, with different areas, and with loads of things to visit. The transportation network is amazing, you can easily reach any place by public transports. I really enjoyed the city, the only bad thing was the cold, but that just made me want to return during warmer months. So here is my 'Berlin Travel Guide', I hope you find it useful. 

What To Visit


  • German Bundestag, o parlamento da República Federal Alemã, ondem podem visitar a cúpula e o terraço, a visita é grátis e vale mesmo muito a pena, mas têm de fazer a vossa reserva online / the legislature of Germany, where you can visit the dome and the roof terrace, both visits are free, but you have to book it online in advance, but totally worth it
  • Tiergarden, um jardim enorme em plena cidade e o sítio perfeito para um passeio de bicicleta / a huge garden in the middle of the city and the perfect place for a bike ride
  • Holocaust Memorial, um memorial aos judeus mortos na Europa bem no centro da cidade e que podem chegar a pé desde o German Bundestag / a memorial to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust, right in the city centre and just a 5 minute walk from the German Bundestag
  • Berlin Cathedral and Museum Island, uma ilha de museus no rio Spree ondem podem visitar cinco museus / a museum island in the Spree river where you can visit five museums
  • East Side Gallery, uma galeria de arte ao ar livre com diferentes murais, pintados no que restou do muro de Berlin / an open-air gallery, it consists of a series of murals painted on the remnant of the Berlin Wall.
  • Jewish Museum, um museu onde podem a ficar a conhecer mais sobre a história judia e que eu achei bastante interessante, o ingresso são 7€ / a museum where you can get to know more about the Jewish history and that I found very interesting, entrance is 7€

Se me seguem no Instagram, sabem que estive em Berlim estes últimos dias. Foi uma viagem fantástica (mais fotos brevemente) e umas semanas antes estive em Munique e já tenho mais viagens planeadas. Acho mesmo que 2020 é o meu ano para viajar. No ano passado fiz algumas viagens, mas fui sempre a cidades que já conhecia. Acho que é algo bem característico meu, gosto de saber com o que contar e que vou gostar de algo, por isso é que estou sempre a ver os mesmos filmes/séries, peço sempre a mesma coisa do menu nos meus restaurantes favoritos e volto sempre às cidades que gostei. Claro que também adoro essas viagens, mas sabe bem quebrar este padrão e ir a cidades às quais nunca tinha estado. Este ano quase que tenho uma viagem todos os meses e não podia estar mais feliz com isso (okay, uma delas vou voltar à minha cidade favorita, mas não consigo mesmo evitar e faz-me falta lá ir). Viajar é uma das coisas que mais me inspira e descobrir uma cidade pela primeira vez é algo que eu já tinha saudades. Digam-me se gostavam que eu fizesse um 'Berlin Travel Guide' com várias dicas, sítios onde comer e o que visitar. E digam-me também que cidade eu devia visitar este ano.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I was in Berlin these last couple of days. It was an amazing trip (more photos to come), and some weeks earlier I went to Munich, and already have more trips planned throughout the year. I really think that 2020 is the year of travelling for me. Last year I travelled a bit, but I only went to cities that I already knew. I think that's something very characteristic of me: I like to know that I'm going to enjoy something, and for that reason, I'm always rewatching the same movies/tv series, ordering the same food at my favourite restaurants, and going back to my favourite cities. Of course, I loved doing those trips too but feels good to break that pattern and go to cities that I've never been to before. I have almost a trip every month (okay, one of them I'm returning to my favourite city ever, but I just can't help it), and couldn't be happier about it. Travelling is one of the most inspiring things for me, and discovering a new city for the first time is really exciting. Doze histórias de doze mulheres. Todas de raça negra e britânicas. Mas todas distintas. De diferentes idades, classes sociais, sexualidade e famílias. Esta é a história por detrás de 'Girl, Woman, Other', o livro do qual vos vou falar hoje. Foi um livro que gostei bastante e que me fez perceber como é viver como uma mulher negra numa sociedade predominantemente branca e aprendi imenso sobre culturas de que não sabia praticamente nada. A atenção aos detalhes é brilhante neste livro, acabando por me esquecer, muitas vezes, que estas raparigas são personagens ficcionais. O tipo de escrita também é bastante único. A Bernardine Evaristo não segue as convencionais "regras" de escrita, não usando pontos-finais ou letras maiúsculas, mas é algo que nos habituamos logo nos primeiros capítulos. Foi um livro que me fez abrir os olhos e diferente de qualquer coisa que já tenha lido e, por isso, acho que todos deviam ler esta obra, sem dúvida um livro incrível.

Twelve stories from twelve women. All of them are black and British. But they're all distinct. From different backgrounds, ages, class, sexuality and families. This is the story behind 'Girl, Woman, Other', the book I'm going to talk about today. I really enjoyed this book, and it really made me realize how it is to live as a black girl in a white-dominant culture, something that I really never thought about, and I learned a lot about cultures I knew nothing about. The attention to detail is brilliant, and it almost feels like all these girls/characters are real. The writing style is quite unique. Bernardine Evaristo definitely doesn't follow all the writing "rules", sentences merge into one another, and she never uses the full stop or capital letters, but that is something that you get used to straight away. This book is an eye-opening read, and unlike anything I've ever read, and, for that reason, I think everyone should give it a go, it really is an amazing book.

Como já vos disse, quero cada vez mais explorar a fotografia analógica. Além de partilhar com vocês fotos do meu dia-a-dia no 'Film Diary', também já introduzi fotografia analógica noutros posts, mas quero começar a fazer algo diferente. Este post é isso mesmo. Quero explorar ainda mais a minha criatividade e tirar maior partido da fotografia analógica. Estas fotografias são o resultado disso mesmo e uma ode a todas as raparigas que não têm medo de arriscar e usar peças de homem. Digam-me o que acham do resultado. Eu adorei e estou super entusiasmada por criar ainda mais conteúdo em analógico.

As I already told you, I want to explore analogue photography even more. Besides sharing my daily life photos through the 'Film Diary', I also introduced a bit of analogue photography into other posts, but I want to start doing something different. This post is the first step for that. I want to explore my creativity and take advantage of analogue photography. These photos are the result of that and an ode to all the girls who aren't afraid to take risks and wear men clothes. Tell me what you think of them. Comprar de forma sustentável e sempre de forma pensada e ponderada. É algo que faço hoje em dia, mas há uns anos atrás era bem diferente. Acho que já vos tinha contado, mas, provavelmente, comprava uma peça nova todas as semanas. Faz um pouco parte do processo de encontrar o nosso estilo, mas não é de todo um acto sustentável. Fui melhorando isso, mas, mesmo no ano passado, quando fiz o #NoShoppingMonth challange em que me desafiei a não comprar nada durante um mês, foi algo bastante difícil para mim. Mas, hoje em dia, posso dizer que estou completamente mudada. É raro comprar em lojas de fast-fashion e cada vez sou mais fã de comprar vintage/segunda-mão. Hoje vou partilhar com vocês algumas dicas que me ajudaram muito neste processo. 

Buying in a sustainable way and always through a very well-thought process. That's something I do nowadays, but a few years ago it was quite different. I think I've told you this before, but I used to buy something new almost every week. It's part of understanding your style, but it's defeninly not something sustainable. I got better at that, but, even last year, when I did the #NoShoppingMonth challenge where I challenged myself not to buying anything for a whole month, I found it very difficult. But, nowadays, I can say that I've completely changed. I barely buy at high-fashion stores, and I'm a very big fan of shopping vintage/second-hand. Today I'm sharing with you some tips that helped me a lot to get here.


Don't Go Into The Stores

O primeiro passo para mim foi, simplesmente, deixar de ir às lojas. Eu conheço-me bastante bem e sei que se vir algo de que gosto é bastante difícil de resistir, pelo menos era assim na altura. Deixar de ir às lojas ajudou-me imenso e, hoje em dia, consigo ir às diferentes lojas e não cair na tentação de comprar algo.

The first step for me was to stop going into the stores. I know me very well, and I know that if I see something that I like, most likely I will want to buy it, at least I did at the time. Stop going into the stores helped me a lot, and nowadays I can go into the stores and not get triggered into buying something.


Always Think Twice

Sempre que vejo uma peça que gosto, não a compro de imediato. Dou um tempo para perceber se realmente gosto, tento perceber como a posso incorporar no meu armário e se achar que faz sentido, então faço a compra. Mas, por vezes, este tempo é perfeito para percebermos que não precisamos assim tanto de certa peça.

Every time I see something that I like, I don't buy it immediately. I give it some time to try to understand if I really like it, if I can wear it with my other clothes, and if it makes sense to me, then I buy it. But sometimes this period of time just makes you realize that you really don't need it.



Don't Join E-mail Lists

Eu sei que estar na lista de e-mails de certas lojas, pode ser uma forma de estarmos a par de todos os descontos ou de portes-grátis, mas também pode desencadear em nós uma vontade de comprar algo que não precisamos. Acreditem, já me aconteceu, e por isso mesmo é que deixei de subscrever muitos e-mails de lojas.

I know that signing up for store's email lists can be a great way to be aware of discounts or free shipping, but it can also be a way to trigger you into shopping something you don't need. It has happened to me before, so I just unsubscribed to a lot of e-mails lists.

No meu Instagram vou sempre partilhando os livros que estou a ler e, provavelmente, reparam que ainda não tinha escrito nada sobre os livros de Albert Camus. No ano passado, li 'O Estrangeiro' e, no início deste ano, li 'A Queda'. Adorei ambos os livros, mas são livros que levantam bastantes questões filosóficas e, por isso, bastante difíceis de fazer qualquer tipo de review, pelo menos para mim. No entanto, às vezes bastam algumas frases para nos captar a atenção e querer ler algo e acho que estas frases retiradas de ambos os livros podem fazer exactamente isso. Espero que gostem.

I always share the books I'm currently reading on my Instagram, and you probably noticed that I haven't written anything about the books I read by Albert Camus. Last year I've read 'The Stranger', and at the beginning of this year I read 'The Fall'. I loved both books, but they're books that raise a lot of philosophical questions, and a bit hard for me to write a review about. But sometimes, all you need to get interested in something is just a few quotes, and I think these quotes from both books will do exactly that. I hope you like them.




Eu sei que há uns dias escrevi o quanto gosto desta altura do ano para me vestir e o quão divertido pode ser brincar com as diferentes camadas de roupa, mas, por volta desta altura do ano, acontece-me sempre o mesmo e a inspiração simplesmente desaparece. Está frio, está chuva e acabo sempre por vestir a mesma coisa. Acho que nos acontece a todos, mas já me aconteceu tantas vezes que já sei mais ou menos como combater isso. Encontrar inspiração é sempre o primeiro passo. Para isso recorro ao Instagram e Pinterest. Sempre que vejo uma foto de que gosto, guardo-a para poder voltar a encontrar nestas alturas em que a inspiração é escassa. Outra coisa que me ajuda sempre é, como vos disse no post anterior, introduzir algo novo no meu armário. Estas botas, realmente, fizeram-me olhar para as minhas roupas de outra forma e já tenho imensos outfits que quero experimentar com elas. Mas, se me seguem há algum tempo, sabem que no Verão vou voltar a escrever um post deste género em que vos vou dizer como sinto falta dos casacos, das botas e das camadas, mas neste momento já não me importava de alguns dias mais quentes para usar roupa mais fresca.

I know that a few days ago I wrote how much I love this time of the year when it comes to fashion and how much fun I have styling myself during winter, but sometimes, around this time of the year, my styling expertise tends to dry up and I'm definitely going through a style rut right now. It's cold, it's rainy, and I find myself always wearing the same thing day after day. However, this has happened to me before, and I finally know how to get out of it. Finding inspiration is the first step to get out of a style rut, for that, I always go to Instagram and Pinterest. Every time I see a photo that I like, I always save it for times like this when I need inspiration. Another thing that can really help is, like I said yesterday, to introduce something new to your wardrobe. These boots really made me look at my clothes in a completely different way, and I already have a lot of outfits I want to try them out with. But if you have been following me for a while, you know that by summertime I will be writing a very similar post, telling you how much I miss coats, boots, and layering, but right now I really wouldn't mind some warmer days to wear lighter clothes.

Já há algum tempo que não fazia este tipo de posts aqui no blog em que vos mostro aquilo que tenho comprado. Primeiro porque não tenho feito assim tantas compras e segundo porque não é de todo o meu objectivo incentivar o consumismo. Mas isto é um blog de moda e continuo a adorar partilhar com vocês aquilo que visto e aquilo que compro, por isso decidi partilhar com vocês a minha mais recente compra, estas botas. Não são de todo para todos os gostos, mas são uma grande tendência neste momento e, para quem gosta do modelo da Prada, são uma excelente alternativa. Eu gosto imenso delas (obviously) e por enquanto são bastante confortáveis (mas vou-vos mantendo a par disto). Às vezes basta uma nova peça no nosso armário para nos sentirmos novamente inspirados e estas botas fizeram exactamente isso comigo. Amanhã já partilho um outfit com elas. Mas digam-me, o que acham?

It has been a while since I did this kind of posts where I share with you my latest purchases. First, because I haven't been buying a lot of stuff, and second because it's defenitly not my goal to encourage consumerism. But at the end of the day, this is a fashion blog, and I still love sharing with you what I'm wearing and what I've bought, so I decided to share with you my latest purchase, these boots. They're defenitly not for everybody's taste, but they're a very big trend right now and a great alternative if you're into the Prada boots. I really like them (obviously), and for now, they have been very comfortable (I will keep you updated on that). Sometimes all you need to feel inspired again is something new in your wardrobe, and these boots did exactly that for me. Tomorrow I'll share an outfit with them.
