Estou tão contente com o resultado destas fotos! Fotografar fora do nosso sítio habitual pode ser mesmo gratificante. Estas fotos foram todas tiradas por Lisboa e no Meco quando estive pelo Super Bock Super Rock. Acho que representam na perfeição os dias que passei por lá. Mas, numa nota à parte, em princípio, este será o último post das 'Disposable Series'. Isto porque comprei uma máquina analógica nova e será essa câmara que vou começar a usar no meu dia-a-dia. Por isso, não fiquem tristes, as fotos analógicas vão continuar, só terão um outro nome (já agora, se tiverem alguma ideia de como chamar a nova rubrica, deixem nos comentários). Espero que gostem das fotos!

I'm so pleased with how these photos turned out! Shooting in a place different from what you're used to can be so inspiring. I took these photos around Lisbon and Meco when I went to Super Bock Super Rock. And they really captured the vibe of those days over there. But on a different note, this is probably the last 'Disposable Series' post. I just bought a new analogue camera so I will start using it in my daily life. So don't be sad, I will keep shooting on film, I just need to find a new name for the posts (btw, if you have any idea for a new name, please leave it in the comments). I hope you like the photos!

Eu sei que ainda faltam alguns dias para o fim do mês, que é normalmente quando partilho a minha playlist mensal, mas estes últimos dias foram repletos de tão boa música que tinha mesmo de partilhar com vocês. Como sabem, estive pelo Super Bock Super Rock e se há coisa que eu gosto em festivais é descobrir novas bandas. Adorei o concerto de Jungle e Fkj também me surpreendeu muito. Mas podem encontrar muitas mais músicas na playlist. Digam-me também o que andaram a ouvir este mês.

I know we're still a few days away from the end of the month that it's when I usually share my monthly playlist, but these last couple of days were filled with such good music that I really had to share with you. As you know, I went to Super Bock Super Rock and if there's one thing I love about music festivals is finding new bands. I really liked Jungle and Fkj surprised me a lot. But you can find way more songs on the playlist. But tell me, what have you been listening to this month?

Se querem saber mais sobre todo o processo de fotografar com máquinas descartáveis, podem ler ESTE post, mas hoje venho partilhar com vocês algumas dicas que podem ajudar bastante na hora de fotografar com este tipo de câmaras. Não sou de todo uma expert, mas já há algum tempo que uso estas câmaras e fui aprendendo muitas coisas ao longo do tempo.

If you want to know more about all the process of shooting with disposable cameras, you can read THIS post, but today I'm going to share with you some tips that will help you a lot if you're shooting with this kind of cameras. I'm definitely not an expert, but I've been using them for a while now so I learned a lot during this time.

1. Shoot Until The End

Às vezes, quando chegam ao fim das exposições, conseguem tirar mais umas quantas fotografias. No início, tirava essas fotos sempre à pressa para chegar ao fim do rolo. Acontece que essas fotos, por vezes, ficam bem e ficam com mais fotos do que aquilo que é suposto. Por isso aproveitem sempre o rolo completo, mesmo que diga que chegou ao fim.

Sometimes, when you get to the end of your exposures you can still take a few more photos. When I first starting using these cameras, I always took those photos in a rush to get to the end of the film. The thing is that sometimes these photos turn out okay and you get more photos than what you're supposed to. So take advantage of that and use the whole film, even if it says that it's finished.

2. Choose The Right Camera For You

Existem diversas máquinas descartáveis disponíveis e devem escolher uma que vá ao encontro daquilo que pretendem e do tipo de fotos que vão tirar. A que uso tem um ISO de 400, o que é ideal para fotos ao ar livre com boa luz natural. Mas se estiverem a pensar fotografar com menos luz ou num sítio onde haja bastante movimento, devem optar por uma com um ISO mais alto.

There are a lot of disposable cameras that you can choose from, but you should choose one that meets your needs and that will deliver the kind of photos you want. The one I use has a 400 ISO which is perfect for outdoor photos with good natural light. If you're thinking about shooting with less light and in a place with a lot of movement, you should go for a camera with a higher ISO:

3. Indoors, Always Use Flash

Isto foi algo que aprendi mesmo com os meus erros, mas sempre que estiverem numa zona interior, usem o flash da vossa câmara, mesmo que vos parece que existe luz suficiente. Porque depois quando forem ver a foto, está completamente preta (lesson learned!).

This really is something that I learned from my own mistakes, but every time you're going to shoot indoors, always use your flash, even if it looks like there is enough light. Because once you get your photo, it will be completely black (lesson learned!).

Eu sei que pode ser injusto partilhar com vocês malas vintage que não podem encontrar em lado nenhum, mas gosto tanto delas e foi um deal tão bom que tinha mesmo de partilhar com vocês. Acreditam que paguei apenas 1€ por estas duas malas? Sim, leram bem! Sinceramente, estou tão viciada em malas vintage que já não me imagino comprar este acessório em lojas fast fashion. Gosto imenso das duas e podem ter a certeza que as vão ver muito por aqui. Qual é a vossa favorita?

I know it might be a bit unfair to share with you vintage bags that you can't find anywhere, but I like them so much and they were such a good deal that I really had to share with you. Can you believe I paid only 1€ for these two bags? Yeap, 1€! Honestly, I'm so addicted to vintage bags that I really can't see myself buying bags at the high street anymore. I like the two very much and you can be sure that you're going to see them here a lot. Which one is your favourite?

Manter amigos que vemos no nosso dia-a-dia é fácil, manter amigos que vivem longe de nós e que não vemos com tanta frequência pode ser bem mais difícil. Estive estes últimos dias por Lisboa (mostro-vos mais fotos em breve) e, claro, que estive com alguns dos meus amigos que vivem pela capital. E é tão bom saber que a distância não afecta em nada a nossa amizade. Divertimo-nos tanto nestes dias, partilhámos imensas aventuras (desde pedir boleia na estrada a entrar em casa pela janela) e, sinceramente, pareceu que o tempo que nos separou nunca aconteceu. Já dizia a Christy Evans: "Bons amigos são como estrelas. Podes não os ver sempre, mas sabes que estarão sempre lá."

Keeping friends that you see and hang out with regularly is easy, keeping friends that live far away and that you don't see as much can be harder. These last couple of days I was in Lisbon (I will share more photos very soon) and, of course, I took this chance to be with my friends that live in the capital. And it's so good to know that distance doesn't affect our friendship. We had so much fun these last couple of days, we lived so many adventures together (from asking for a ride on the road to entering the house through the window) and it felt like the time we weren't together never existed. It's like how Christy Evans once said: "Good friends are like stars. You don't always see them, but you know they're always there".

It has been a while since I did the last 'Porto Coffee Guide' so it's about time to share more cafes that I've been visiting here in Porto lately. So here are three coffee shops that you really have to visit. For more suggestions, you can check the previous posts or just check the 'Where To Eat' category where you will find loads of suggestions.

The Garden Café

Tenho ido lá várias vezes quando estou pela baixa e a localização não podia ser melhor. A ementa é muito variada e tem também uma pequena esplanada perfeita para os dias de mais calor.

I've been going there a lot when I'm downtown and the location couldn't be better. The menu is huge and it has an outside area perfect for the warmer days.

Miss Pavlova

Já há algum tempo que o Miss Pavlova teve uma grande renovação e que o menu tem bem mais coisas que apenas o famoso bolo que lhe dá nome. O espaço é mesmo muito agradável e tem também uma área ao ar livre.

A while ago, Miss Pavlova had a big renovation and since then that their menu has way more than just the cake that names it. It's a very cosy place and it also has an outside area.

Early

Já tinha falado por aqui sobre o Early (podem ler o post completo AQUI), mas gostei tanto que tinha de mencionar neste post também. É mesmo daqueles cafés que convida a passar umas boas horas.

I already talked about Early before (you can read the post HERE), but I liked it so much that I had to mention it in this post as well. It really is one of those coffee shops where you just feel like staying for a few hours.

Cada vez gosto mais de comprar online, mas isso não quer dizer que, de vez em quando, não goste de ter um dia de compras onde vou às lojas físicas e onde posso experimentar as roupas e sentir todos os tecidos. Mas no que toca a compras existem dois tipos de pessoas e eu não sei muito bem onde me encaixo. As pessoas que adoram fazer as suas compras sozinhas sem interferência de segundas opiniões e as pessoas que gostam de ir acompanhas. Eu sempre gostei muito de ir às compras sozinha. Sei aquilo que gosto e para mim isso basta. Mas, visto que agora compro muito mais online, quando vou às compras é mais pela experiência e, como tal, acho que pertenço ao grupo que gosta de ir com amigas. E vamos ser sinceros, é bem mais divertido. E posso-vos dizer que se não tivesse ido com uma amiga às compras, nunca teria comprado este top e agora é dos meus favoritos. Mas e vocês? Em que grupo se inserem?

Lately, I've been doing most of my shopping online, but that doesn't mean that sometimes I don't enjoy a shopping day where I go to the stores and try on the clothes and feel all the fabrics. But when it comes to shopping, there are two kinds of people and I don't really know to which group I belong to. The people who enjoy shopping by themselves with no second opinions and the ones who like to go with friends. I always enjoyed shopping alone. I know what I like and that's enough for me. But since I've been buying online that when I actually go shopping it's more for the experience so I think I belong to the group who rather go shopping with friends. And it's way more fun this way. And I can tell you that if I haven't gone shopping with a friend I would never have bought this top and now it's one of my favourites. But what about you? To which group do you belong to?

Já estou por Lisboa, mas tinha de partilhar com vocês estas fotos analógicas que tirei nos últimos dias pelo Porto. Vocês sabem bem o quanto eu gosto do tempo frio, mas cada vez gosto mais do Verão. E estas fotos representam bem aquilo que eu mais gosto nesta estação. Dias na praia, noites longas e passeios pela cidade. Espero que gostem das fotos!

I'm already in Lisbon, but I had to share these analogue photos that I took the last couple of days around Porto. You know how much I like cooler weather, but I love summer more and more. And these photos perfectly showcase what I love the most about this season. Days at the beach, long nights and strolls around town. I hope you like the photos!
